Pentecost happened - in a house?

 Act 2:1  And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 

Act 2:2  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 

Act 2:3  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 

Act 2:4  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 

I am about to admit to being dumb here for I had never caught this before. Peter was not preaching when the Holy Ghost came down, They disciples were not out in the center of town. No not at all as we envision, for we know what it says right?

The disciples were gathered together in a house,

When the day of Pentecost came they were all in one place of one accord. 

Try that today, all in one place of one accord. No cell phones, no devices, just a group with one purpose and one purpose only, waiting on the Holy Spirit.

They were all filled with the Holy Ghost that caused them to speak in other tongues. In other languages that men understood not spouting gibberish, they spoke in established languages they had never spoke in but men heard and understood them, the Bible says so.

Act 2:5  And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 

Act 2:6  Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 

They heard them speak and testify in their own language.  Now it gets good:

Act 2:7  And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 

Act 2:8  And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

The men who heard these Galileans speak in their language were confounded that they knew what they were saying. For the disciples were all from Galilee, they all spoke one language and these men knew it, but now they are hearing them in their own native tongues that just a bit ago these men did not speak in.

The men were in a house waiting on the Holy Ghost, they were gathered together in one accord. When the Holy Ghost came they were ready, they were resolved, they were united.
