Think on these things

Php 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Php 4:9  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Do we still teach trash in - trash out?

Do we still adhere to you are what you eat? The same applies to the spiritual side as well.

Paul says think on true things, pure things, honest things, just things, lovely things and good things.

Yet we know that the standard is God, He is all that is good.

So what Paul is saying is think on God and Godly things.

Do you suppose that this is another way of saying "Be ye Holy for I am Holy"?

Think on these things, dwell in them, contemplate them and study them.

Do we still teach think on these things as the way to be more Holy?

Do we have weak anemic Christians because they fail to feed the Spirit in them? Are we lacking for we are so caught up in the world and it's ways?

It is easy to do getting distracted by the world and all of its cares and concerns. Yet do we let that be the all encompassing?

Think on these things, do we still teach this or has it become passe'? Not fit for the modern age?

The 2nd verse Paul says as you have seen and heard me so do you.

What's he saying? I have kept my testimony pure and honest for you. Not for me for I would do otherwise if I was not worried for you.

As you have seen me in my testimony, so too should you be.

Do we teach this? A testimony for the sake of others, not what we can get away with, but what we must do to be a testimony and positive influence on others.

Think on these things.
