The world passeth away

 1Jn 2:15  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 

1Jn 2:16  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 

1Jn 2:17  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 

We have stopped preaching this in churches today.

Why? Is it because we the ones proclaiming the Gospel have stopped living these verses?

The thing that strikes me most, just as in John 3:16, what happens those who do NOT do the Will of God. There are consequences for not doing His Will just as there are blessings for doing His Will.

He that doeth the will of God abideth forever, but those who do not do the Will of God shall not abide forever. They shall face death and damnation in the fires.

This kind of preaching and teaching is frowned upon nowadays for we are all doing what is right in our own eyes.

The World is the source of most of our troubles and issues yet we cling to it as if it is going to care about us when we are down.

It won't, it will leave you lying in the gutter, destitute, homeless, shattered and broken. It does not love you, it will not die for you, let alone lift you up from the pit.

God died for you before you were born, even now He calls for youy while you are in the wilderness, unable to see the caller but hearing the voice.

There is a time for salvation, and that day is today.

There is a time for living for God, and that day is today.

There is a day to put away the world, and that day is today.

Today is the day to echo Joshua, as for me and my house we shall serve the Lord.

He is everlasting, the Beginning and the End.
