Incorruptible

1Pe 1:23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1Pe 1:24  For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

Yet what is that Incorruptible that the saved of God are Born into?

Born again, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth forever. There is One and only One thing that has ever been stated to have been since the Beginning. The Word.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

We are born again by the Incorruptible Word. If born by earthly parents we get the sin nature then do we not gain the Incorruptible nature from the Word? The Word being Jesus Christ, God Incarnate?

If we gain the Incorruptible Nature through being born again, does not this make us everlasting as the Word is?

If then the Word has given us everlasting life, an Incorruptible nature and forgiven us us ours sins, then why in the name of all that is Holy do we run back to the pig's trough?

Being born to man, most of us for a long time want to be like that man and woman that raised us, taught us and seemed to be the world to us.

If that is the case then why do we have so many today lessening the standards of the One who died for us, who gave us all we have, all we shall ever have and yet we constantly look at Him through the eyes of the corruptible rather than the Incorruptible?

If you were a decent parent, then even when they are 30 your kids do not want to disappoint you, or let you see the real them if they think you might disapprove. When I was young, 14 or 15 I knew a 60 year old man whose mother was 90 and he was still trying to make her happy.

Yet why do we take the God who gave us all and try to lessen Him to our image? We were fearfully and wonderfully made in HIS Image, and yet for thousand of years man has been trying to remake God in their Image.

Not only were we physically fearfully and wonderfully made, but now we have the Spiritual Life that is also applied to us due to Him and Him alone.

When your kids are teenagers, wow that is a time most of us never want to live through again, Yet are we not acting the exact same as the "teenagers" of God?

Do we really know more than He?

Do we really think God is old fashioned and outdated?

Do we think God needs the Old Folks home, so that we ,who know best can run, things?

When we grew up and out of our know it all stage almost (I said almost) all of us appreciated our Mother and Father.

Isn't it time we look at God put on the Incorruptible He gave us and say thank you?

Time for us to live to His Standards, His Word, His Holiness?

If He is all that is Everlasting should we not desire to be more like Him rather than more what we think He should be?

If the glory of man fades, the grass passes away, then should we not let go of the things that fade and grab onto that which shines forever? The Holiness and Glory of God?

Embrace the Incorruptible nature, nourish it, and see where it takes you.

1Pe 1:15  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

1Pe 1:16  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
