Our Father?

 I touched on this a few posts ago, that the false teachers and preachers believed what they were preaching and teaching because they have not the Spirit. Yet here Christ takes it even further.

Joh 8:42  Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 

Joh 8:43  Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 

Joh 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 

When satan tempted man to fall, he usurped God's role. When the woman, and subsequently the man, listened to the devil then they placed themselves under his authority. For the rest of this human history until the 2nd coming we are under satan's rule here on earth.

Hence we are of the devil, we are not of God. Therefore ye must be born again to be of God. If you hear someone saying we are all God's children it is not true. We are not, we are all under satan's rule, until you come to Christ. Satan is the prince of this world, the ruler of the earth for now. This kind of belies the very preaching of prosperity theory doesn't it? 

In the scripture above Jesus is talking to the religious leaders, the Pharisees and Sadducees who have not the heart knowledge of God. They are strictly a head knowledge, keeping up appearances people. They go to Temple constantly, they wear all the right clothes, say the right things, but have no idea who God is.

There must be a heart knowledge, there must be an Unction from the Spirit.. Without it you can not understand the things of God, if you can not understand the things of God then you are not of God.
