Neither Condemn nor Condone.

Lately I have heard a lot of unnerving things in the media, and perhaps the most disturbing is when the Pope comes out and takes a stand where the church of God will not.

The Pope will not bless things that go against the Scripture.

Hmmmmmm, church where are you at?

Frankly I think it is about time someone in the national international view takes a stand against the immorality being pushed in today's world.

They say " but Christ never condemned the sinners in His day, He never spoke out against sin."

Well let's revisit the lady caught in adultery shall we?

Joh 8:10  When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

Joh 8:11  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Jesus says neither do I condemn thee. Jesus did not yell and holler and scream and tell her to get right, she was already ashamed and aware of her sin. She was already humiliated and made to suffer derision. He did not accuse or condemn. He did not shun her and tell her to go to the priest and confess, He did not tell her to go to theology school and learn of her wickedness, He did not even broadcast her sin to the world.

No. Jesus, our Jesus, tells her to go and sin no more.

Let me say that again, Go and sin no more.

what does that mean? it means go and sin no more.

He did not forgive her of her sins here if you notice, why not? I can only surmise. In all the other cases where He forgave sins people were looking for Him, calling on Him, This woman was dragged before Him, her faith, her need did not bring her to Him.

That is an incredible thought when you get right down to it.

She wasn't looking for Him. she was not ready for Him.  The Messiah was right in front of her, The Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world was right in front of her and she never asked for forgiveness. She was happy where she was, with who she was and therefore He did not forgive her sins.

She didn't ask! She wasn't seeking Him. Does this mean she never came back to Him? We do not know, but the seed was planted, the thought was there. Christ did nothing more than what exactly needed to be done here.

This woman was not ready to see Him for her need, for forgiveness of sin because she did not ,at this particular moment, ask or seek that forgiveness.

Does this mean Christ would not judge the sin? No it does not. For there is more at stake than a woman in adultery. There is a world lost and dying from the sin and death prevalent in this world. He came to this world because of our sin, and our inability to reconcile ourselves to God. The sin brought Him to earth, the sin put Him on the cross of Calvary, the sin of man caused Him to suffer and die.

Dare we at this point. knowing this cost, this price that was paid for our sin, condone the sin we see going on?

For our sin was paid for, our freedom bought, dare we look Him in the face and knowingly sin again?

Joh 3:18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The sin of man is what condemns him, the Cross is there for you to look and live, to see Christ and His death that you might live.

Christ does not condemn, nor does He condone. He paid for your way out of the condemnation, the wages of your sin.

Will you look at that price paid, turn your back and walk away to your own destruction?

O sinner, please find your way to Him today. He knocks, He paid it all already, all you have to do is call on Him today and He will find you. He can lead you out of the dark, out of the sin, out of the unhappy life you are in.

O christian, the sin you are caught up in that has taken you out of fellowship, the sin that leads you from Him to the World where you were already brought up out of, that sin will lead to your destruction, and how many will you lead astray as you sin and live as if the sacrifice of Christ was of naught?

Christ did not condemn nor did He condone the sin. He forgave sins, He forgave the sinner, that is what He was about. He never turned a blind eye to the sin, nor did He berate the sinner.
