Comfort one another with these words

A verse popped into my head and as usual stayed there for a day or two until I put pen to paper, figuratively.
We have this hope, this promise.

1Th 4:13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1Th 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1Th 4:15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1Th 4:18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The last verse says to comfort one another with these words. This again is something we use at certain occasions just as Psalm 23 is used only at certain times.
Yet this should be our rallying Daily cry, We have hope daily, weekly, yearly, minute by minute, hour by hour. We have this hope when things are good, and when things are bad.
We have this hope, but even hope doesn't quite express it as a full complete thought.
We have this promise.
Paul doesn't say maybe or possibly, Paul uses shall and will. This is not just a hope this is a very real thing that shall take place.

We have this to look forward to, that all of us that believe in Jesus, no matter how bad or good the day is, will be with Him in Glory one day.
We can use this as a banner all day every day.
We can carry this out to the masses who have no hope, no way forward that they too may know of the promise of God if they but believe.

This is no shallow promise, this is a statement inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, wrote by Paul to us the God fearing Christians of today.
This is not some speculation, hypothetical, theory, this is truth straight from the Word of God.
There is no more secure promise than one from God directly to those of us living today.

How do we know that this is a promise? That God's Word is True?
Because He tells us the very same thing in another place by another author who, by the way, knew Him intimately, saw Him daily, and was witness to the very Resurrection of Christ, The ascension and the Transfiguration and the death on the cross.

2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Pe 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

I wrote sometime ago about Psalm 23 and the fact that we only pull that out at certain times, this is another of those subjects that we only use at certain times.

However, the Resurrection of Christ should be a daily thought for celebration, These verses should be a daily inspiration for us the Believers for We shall be with Him.

We have no work requirements, no hope so, no maybe's, no possibly, we have this Hope in Him.
If this Hope is in Him then we know that it is true.
For He is God, all knowing, all powerful, all seeing. He does not make Promises He can not keep.
Therefore we have His Word on it.
If God so loved the world that He came and died for us, how much less is that love in His Promise Keeping?
At what point does He forget even one of His promises let alone the most important Promise He ever made?

So daily when you wake remember this thought, We Shall be with Him. Whether in the Rapture or in death before, but He will come again for us.
That is a thought that should challenge your heart and soul to leap and celebrate everyday.
That is a thought that if it does not stir you up then perhaps you should think it again.
That is a thought that should comfort you that no matter what happens today tomorrow or next week we will be with Him.
If we carry that promise with us every day we shall have no worry, no burden that we can not face.

Don't just pull this comfort out at certain times, wrap it around you daily, share it, celebrate the comfort and hope that we have every minute of every day.

Christ is coming, We shall be with Him.
