Know so or just for show?

I am writing this because something has been on my heart for a few days. My facebook page has been overtaken with picture of Christ and photos of faith being stated.
Now I am not being judgmental or critical with this but I do have a question I want to ask of everyone.

Do you KNOW Him?
I understand the reactionary nature of these things, but reaction is not the pressing need.
I understand the need to appeal to a higher power, a need to get back to God.
I understand the uncertainty and the frailty of man, the inability to achieve an answer on our own.

But do the people posting these understand the need to have a personal relationship with Him? It is not enough to just post on facebook that you are following Him, or that you have faith.
Will this newfound piety translate into the spirit and actions when everything resumes?

Or is all this reactionary because of an underlying fear that you are truly not sure that you know Him?
When there is a loud sound somewhere, is your first question "was that the rapture, Did I miss it?"
When you lay awake at night are you doubting and wondering? Did I do enough? Am I good enough?

All valid questions, all valid fears for people to have.

on the day of 9/11 and the weeks after there was the same response, yet soon enough people forgot and went right back to their ways. Now 20 years later the same people are reacting the same way.
It is a vicious cycle, but a cycle nonetheless.

So look in the mirror and ask yourself, am I a reactionary or a certified Child of God?

This certainty is an act of faith, a heart of faith. The fear you feel may only be a human emotion or it may be the Spirit calling you asking you to call upon His name.

John tells us we may know that we are the sons of God, Christ tells us we are His if we call on His name and trust in Him. Paul states that calling on the name of the Lord will save you.

1Jn 5:18  We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Rom_10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

We understand that we are sinners, that is the first step.
However, in today's world sin has become a taboo word. We call it sickness and disease that is treatable, forgivable, manageable. No one wants to admit their sin, for that would mean we are not good people.
If we have no sin then why did Christ have to die?
If there is no sin, no right and wrong then He did not have to die.
But there is sin, there is right and wrong. There is now condemnation because sin is in the world.

Rom_5:12  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

The only way to get rid of this penalty or condemnation is to believe with all your heart that Christ died for you, That He paid for your sins, that He and He alone can justify you in the eyes of God.
There is no other way,
There is no other name.
There is no other chance for you.

Joh 3:36  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

It is a very simple thing to allay these fears and the uncertainty. Yet it is the most profound of things as well.
For to call upon The Lord takes a recognition of your own inability to get out of this mess by yourself.
It shows a true understanding of yourself that you are a sinner and in need of a Righteous and pure sacrifice to God to access Him. That you ,in and of yourself, can not stand before Him for all your "righteousness" is as filthy rags.

There is an awakening going on in the world that we need God. But is there a true Spiritual awakening in us that we NEED God?
Is there a call to God to end the crisis only? Or is there in your heart a genuine understanding of the need to call upon His name?
Are you a man or woman seeking the heart and face of God? Or just parroting words, memes and phrases to show a piety you feel is necessary?

No one can answer the question for you. No one can be certain of your heart except you and God.
Do you have a know so or just for show faith?
