now where do I get that from? From the Book of Judges. In the Book of Judges the people were judged by God and every time they were judged by God it starts with every man doing that which was right in their own eyes.
They were not doing what God wanted they did that which they themselves determined was ok.
They used their own morality, their own logic, their own feelings to determine that which was right.
Jdg_17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
Jdg_21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
They made their own ways, their own laws, forsaking God's Way, God's Law, God's Word.
You know that is what satan wants from us, not to do it his way but to keep us from doing God's way. That is satan's whole plan. He could care less what you do so long as you do not do God's Will.
He used a half truth to get Eve to do what she wanted to do.
He tried to tempt Jesus to do a minor thing but that minor thing would have circumvented Christ from God's Will.
Every man doing that which was right. If it ended there we would have a whole different history. A whole different world in front of us.
But you can not leave off the last little part there that says "in their own eyes".
God says don't that means don't.
God says do that means do.
If you are supposed to be a preacher then deacon is not for you.
If you are to be a soul winner then anything else won't do.
You say I have no conviction over that.
Well if it goes against God then get convicted.
God gave His Word, His Son, His Spirit that you might do of His good pleasure.
If you do not then you are sinning.
God says that man is to live by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Have you read every Word? Do you abide by every Word?
Probably not, but do you strive to?
Do you go to church every service you can or do you use an excuse to forsake the assembling of yourselves together?
Do you tithe or do you use every and any excuse?
Do you serve or do you use the unworthy or to busy excuse?
God says to serve.
God says to tithe.
God says to be in a church that exalts Christ and preaches the Truth.
God says the people are the church not the building. What good is the building if you are not there?
Are you fearing God and walking uprightly in His statutes?
Are you following the Will of God?

Read His Word and He will tell you His Will.
