No respecter of persons

It has been said by me ,a lot, that God is no respecter of persons, and of course I have that from the New Testament.
In Acts 10:34 Peter tells us this.
Act 10:34  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Peter to whom God said "what I have made clean call thou not unclean". Peter would know for he was the one to whom it was first revealed that God was going to the gentiles after the rejection of the Jews. Peter who denied Christ 3 times and then saw the Power and Spirit of God on the day of Pentecost. Peter was a sinner, but he saw the power of God after he sinned. He was used by God even though he was an imperfect vessel.

Now if this premise be true, if God is no respecter of persons then why do we limit God? Why do we take words and promises from the Old Testament and rest on them, why do we quote 2 Chronicles 7:14 all the time, why do we read the Psalms and believe the promises and the precepts there, why do we do that if we do not believe God can do what He did in the Old Testament? If God is no respecter of persons, or of people then why do we not believe He can show His Power, His Majesty to the people of this world today?

We know that God does not manifest Himself physically to this world today, for He has sent His Son and His Spirit to us, but they have the same power for they are God. Why do we limit God and refuse to see Him for what He is? He is God, the same yesterday, today and forever.

Now to be clear, there is no faith healing like Benny Hinn and Oral Roberts suggest, for God wants the Glory, God wants Himself to be represented not some guy in a shiny suit taking the glory.
He will heal those He chooses to, He may heal but He may not.
God may give wealth, but He may not.
God may Bless you with riches, God may Bless you with health, He may bless you with stuff.
But then again He may not.

Ok that is the disclaimer now back to topic.

God worked mighty miracles in the Old Testament.
He called men and women to serve and to free the Israelite's from oppression, from slavery, from conquering armies.
He saved the Israelite's from themselves, their sin and idolatry on many occasions. He didn't call the pure and righteous, He called the ones willing, He used imperfect men and women to do so.

Why do we feel or think it is impossible today?
Why do we limit God to a building, or a movement, or a particular place and time?

There are several reasons in my thinking and you may not agree with me on all and that's ok. Most of these writings are pointed right at me and I agree with me most of the time.

1. We are waiting on the perfect messenger.
We are looking for the pure man, the perfect man, to come forward and proclaim the Gospel and to be the shining example of God's love.
We already have that man. That man is Jesus, who was pure, sinless, and a sacrifice so that we might attain a right relationship with God.
All others are sinful men. All men other than Christ will have the potential to fall and to fail. They will sin, they have sinned, they are sinning. Period. Keep your eyes on Jesus, Look not to a man but to the God we serve.

2. We are waiting on the perfect moment.
This will never happen. Now is the day, Now is the time.
2Co_6:2  (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

3. We are waiting on the perfect power.
What we fail to realize today is the same Spirit that came upon Samson, and on David, and on Saul is the Power of the Holy Spirit in us today. The Power of God today is the same Power of God yesterday.
Now granted it is applied differently, but it is there. Their power was outward and momentary. The power that we have of God is all day every day.
We have the Power of the Holy Spirit that Peter had on the day of Pentecost. The power of God unto Salvation..

4. We are waiting on the perfect faith.
There is no perfect faith. Our faith is being perfected in and through our daily lives as we walk and Grow in the knowledge of Christ.
Heb_12:2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Belief in Christ is the perfection of our faith, the start of our faith, and the whole purpose of our faith.

While we wait for whatever we are waiting for there is a world lost, and going to Hell and it is our fault. For we are waiting.
While we wait we are failing to thoroughly act on the promises and power of God.

Do you have prayer in the House of God?
Of course we pray, we pray three times a service, But do YOU have prayer? Do you have a concentrated, consecrated time away from all the trappings and routines set aside that you. as a person, as a church have prayer?
Not the prayers of rote that we use to open the service, or bless the offering, or the message but the time that the people of God get together for no other reason than to pray the Power of God on the church, the government, the people of God? A time when the men and women gather together collectively and cry and weep over this people, this nation, this world?

Do YOU have a time when you get in the prayer closet praying for the lost, the dying? The ones who need the light of Christ?
Do YOU have a time when you ask God, beg God to cleanse you and get you to the point where it is you and God against the World?
Where you allow God to reveal His plan and His presence in your life?

So many times we relax and go about our daily lives and allow others to do the work we should be doing. We rest on our laurels, when we "feel" we shave done enough, instead of seeking Him and what He wants us to do.

Revival will come when the people of God sacrifice themselves upon His Altar presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice to Him for the furtherance of His Will, His Plan.

Revival will not come until we, the men and women of God, are willing to get out of our own way, out of His Way and let God Work.
Stop waiting for the perfect time, the perfect man, the perfect moment.
Start praying and working for the perfect Power of God to manifest itself to us, through us in our daily life, in our daily routines.
Stop doing just enough to be a christian, Start doing all you can to be the perfect pure vessel of Christ.

There will never be a perfect man again, just a man or woman who is confessed up, prayed up and filled up.
There is sin in all of us, but thankfully we have a God who can forgive, who can cleanse, and Who can Work through us to achieve His Perfect Will.

There will never be a perfect church, a perfect messenger, a perfect moment.

There is only a perfect God, a perfect message. That message is Christ crucified.
That is all the perfection we shall ever know on this earth. A perfect love, a perfect Sacrifice, and a perfect completion of Redemption by Christ on the cross.

Now take that message, That God to all the World.
