I have often wondered how so many will be deceived by the coming anti-christ. How so many will fall for a line of bs. Yet today I see so many grasping to ideologies that are fake, looking for hope, wanting a leader who makes them feel right, who validates their opinions.
Mob think, group think, mob mentality whatever you want to call it has been proliferated by social media. The snippets of opinion, and surface shallow thought is the prevailing thought process today.
There is no introspection, no deep thought debate. It's all sound bites, memes, and 20 second snippets.
It used to be thought that the anti-christ would be of the Catholic church. I am not sure of this as even in the catholic church you can still find your way to Christ. The Word of God is used even though they have some false theologies, there is still a chance.
Now there is another religion that will not allow ANY room for Christ or conversion. It will not allow any room for free think or self searching. This religion only allows for itself, no questions, no doubts, no variance or you die.
I am not saying the anti- christ will be of any religious thought, we know he is secular, and anti-religion, anti-christian. We know that he will be charismatic, powerful, smooth talking and (probably) very easy on the eyes. No one follows some one who isn't charismatic, charming, persuasive, and smooth.
2Th_2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Rev 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
We know the man of sin is coming, most of the world is well aware of him and his coming. Yet even forewarned they will still fall for him and his line of blasphemy.
How can they be so blind?
We are in a society that is paving the way for this.
I used to think how? How can anyone be so dumb. I used to think people were too strong, too independent. Yet in today's society I have seen people fall for smooth talkers who are not good men. I have seen the pervasiveness of a weak minded ideologies, I have seen societal breakdowns in a way never conceived of before in the minds of man. I have seen college campuses become the breeding grounds of sheeple. Where opposing viewpoints, and thoughts are beat down. Not just shouted down but beat down.
We are in an atmosphere where the man of sin is set up for his arrival, for his type of snake oil salesmanship.
People will willingly close their minds to the obvious and let themselves be lead astray so they don't have to think, or be accountable. All they have to do is what they are told to.
I used to wonder how. Now I know. I have seen the possibilities. I have seen the way paved. Whether today or next year, or next century the world is making itself ready for this man.
