Be a praise warrior

The other day I was driving into work and the sun ,with the time change, was assaulting my eyes from almost every angle. Of course this was a bit exasperating and I almost started to complain out loud.
I stopped myself, and all the benefits of the sun popped into mind and I started to be thankful for the sun reminding myself of the necessity of it.
Then my mind started going into the benefits and graciousness of The Son.
All of His mercy and grace, His sacrifice and His love.
I started being thankful out loud and my mood brightened considerably.
Now I am not an emotional, overt person. I didn't break out in tongues, or shout hallelujah but my heart swelled with thanksgiving. Praise is a medicine.

Psa_69:30  I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

When thinking of the things you have been blessed with it is impossible to complain. (well almost, I am sure some can still find a way myself included).

I guess perhaps the point of this is negativity, personal inconvenience, Sheer meanness, our self absorption has led us to be nitpickers, naysayers and negative nellies.

We need to get outside our own shells sometimes and see the full import of this world and this life.
We are so self-involved we don't always see the bigger picture. We see what affects us in the moment and not what we are affecting, or how things around us might be impacting others.
That smile that might turn some one's day around.
The please and thank you that shows that we are not completely ignorant.
Holding the door for someone instead of staring at your gadget barely acknowledging the one who held the door for you.
Simple things praise, courtesy, smiles we have let go of.
We have made this life so unbearable and anti-social and have receded into our own little worlds that we may never know the trials and travails of others. even those in our own homes.

Open your eyes to more than just your situation, circumstances.
Start thinking of all your blessings and share that blessedness with others.
See the silver lining in the clouds. got lemons? Make lemonade.

Be a praise warrior. Be thankful, be kind, pass this on to that sour person you meet, to the one having a bad day.
Be a praise warrior, remember that your one kindness may impact hundreds.
it's not just a standard part of your testimony, it is also a way to a merry heart. A good life.
