Spiritual war

Have you ever been in an indifferent state? A decline in fervor? Seeing yourself step away from God and Knowing you were trying to do His Will but the spirit, the circumstances of your life, the general path you are on are leading to the wrong side? Giving in to indifference, walking freely to a dark depression because you can not understand the things going on and how they could be happening and instead of prayer and bible you are leaning on your own mind, your own perception, your own wisdom?

Do you fully understand that when you are trying to do the things God has called you to that you will be attacked on all sides? Both without and within you?

When you want to witness of Christ all kinds of things will come up - fear, self loathing, doubt, physical pain, work, family issues, insecurity, feelings of insignificance.

When you want to follow the right path, the path of light, the darkness will assail you from all sides?

Do you truly know and can you recognize the hand of satan and the failing of your flesh in your life? It will happen all at once to weaken your resolve, to hamper your ministry, to lower your drive and place obstacles in your way.

You will be attacked. In every way possible. You will be filled with doubt, with indifference, with apathy, with aloneness. Your life will become a series of problems. Each one magnified beyond what they are because satan will be doing whatever he can to stop you. Your own mind will be your worst enemy. 

We are a frail, fragile, creation. We waver as the wheat in the field blown in the wind. We are of no moment. 

It is a tough thing we face, but through the grace of God and our Lord Jesus, through His mercy, His strength you must fight through. You must tear back the curtain that satan has placed on the windows of your sight.

To look out - not through your own sight but through the sight of the Holy Spirit within you.

If we use His Word, His Spirit we can look at all things through the curtain of flesh. We can see that the bills piling up, the slights, and wrongs committed against us, the issues of family and work, the small little battles we are in are just that - small. Of no lasting consequence.

Of absolutely no value in the eternal. 

All the importance we place on these day to day issues are satan stopping you. They are made from the natural man's perspective not the spiritual.

Prayer is our guide, the bible our shield, and the name of Christ our sword. 

We can not rebuke the devil, He can. He can carve away the Doubt, the darkness. 

Oh the blessed name of Jesus!

Call on Him and the peace and clarity will return. 

Call His name and He will attend you. Call His name, read His Word. Victory in the spiritual will be yours. We do not have to fight the battles, He has already defeated them!
