The week before the crucifixion Christ road into town to adoring multitudes, multitudes who had heard Him speak, who saw Him perform countless miracles.
Yet just a few days later the religious leaders, worried only about their power, their money, and their prestige not the people, had Him put to death.
Even now we the body of Christ allow these religious leaders to tell us lies and falsehoods that aren't in our bible. We allow them to teach falsehoods and lies yet we do nothing. We have failed our God because we have allowed these "religious" leaders to take us down a false path.
We have not questioned, we have not verified their teachings, we have gone astray willingly to hear what we want. To hear what makes us feel good, not what makes us right with God.
Christ threw the money changers out of the temple, He eviscerated the "religious" class regularly, He preached to the poor and infirm. He sought out those that needed Him, not those who were "good enough" on their own.
Here we are 2,000 yrs later and what have we done? The exact same thing they did in that day.
We have allowed "religion" to co-opt what is right.
We have watered down the message, we have let the government and the "leaders" take us astray as lambs to the slaughter.
Christ gave us 2 great commandments:
Matthew 22:37-40KJV
37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
We are to blame. We have God's Word before us, accessibly more today than ever before yet we have failed to use it, to discern through it.
We have no reason to take anyone's word for it, we have His Word.
In 1 John we are told that we have the Spirit in us that tells us the difference between truth and falsehood.
We are to use the Spirit to test those teaching, to ensure that we are getting fed the proper diet.
We have from the beginning the Word of God, if we fail to utilize it then not only are these false prophets, these liars to be held accountable but so will we, the body of Christ.
We have allowed these perversions into our pulpits and classrooms, we have allowed them to thrive because they don't hurt our feelings or step on our toes.
We have not held them to the highest standard as a minister of God.
WHY?
Because under their teachings we are completely safe and unaccountable. Because under their teachings we are ok, we are fine, we are all warm fuzzy stuff.
This is a lie. They do not speak the truth if they go outside of God's Word for any reason whatsoever.
Christ was all about the heart and intent, He cared not a fig about hurting feelings. He only cared about what was right, what was pure.
He told the adulteress woman to go and sin no more, He let the woman at the well know He knew of her sinful life style, He told Matthew the publican to sin no more amd make right the wrongs He committed.
He let them know they were wrong, and He did not water it down with smiling teeth, and I'm ok, your ok nonsense.
The religious leaders of His day made decisions and went outside the will of the people. Today that same thing is happening. Yet unlike them, we are to blame as we know better!
Start reading along, studying what they say against what you read. Quit making them rich and profitable on your dime as they lie to you, As they lead you astray.
We are the ones who will preserve God's Word, yet how can we preserve it if we do not know it?
If your pastor is feeding you anything that goes against God's Word, if they are not in God's Word as they preach and teach, if they are taking and twisting the message then please walk away. Quit feeding them your money, your time if they do not give God's message.
Find a Bible believing, bible preaching church.
God's Word is all that matters, not opinions.
This is our time to take back our status as Christians (followers of Christ), to get these wolves in sheep clothing out the door.
These religious leaders will sell you - us out to maintain their standing, their money.
Quit going to church because it is what you do, start going to church to meet God, to hear from Him not them.
Hold them accountable as God will hold you accountable.
Ensure your hard earned money, your valuable time is being spent right. That the message is one of Christ and not how good you are, how God wants you healthy and rich, how positive thinking will save you.
These are lies and liars. satan is the father of them and their lies.
Christ and Christ alone is our message we are His followers.
That is what a christian is.
