Personal means mine and mine alone. Christ's relationship with me is unique and it is mine and mine alone! Just as your relationship with Him is yours and yours alone.
Christ died for you. Christ died for me. He died specifically for you.
He is your personal savior or He is nothing to you. It is (or should be) an all or nothing relationship. You either have Him or you don't.
If you do then you have a truly unique relationship, a personal relationship with Him.
The question is do you have Him? Do you know what it means?
Think it through.
You have The God of all to talk to, who wants to hear from you, who wants you to know Him and His love for you. The God that created all things wants you to know how special you are to Him.
My God is not dead, not a tree or a cow, He is not a created image but the image we are created in.
Others have a thought or a philosophy or a tomb, grave marker, or some such thing.
We have a living God, an empty tomb.
No other people have a God who listens, who wants a relationship with you. Our God is alive and in charge of all.
Not a god who wants blind obedience, or is created by man's hands. Not a god who requires works, or sacrifices, or some other some such work.
We have a God who wants our love. Wants us to know Him, wants to know us.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son That whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
God loves and cares for us. For You.
He doesn't demand He asks. He doesn't compel, He asks. He doesn't force, He implores. We owe all to Him and yet He still does not call in our debt, He forgives it.
He doesn't do guilt trips, He doesn't need us. He wants us.
He wants to know how you are, your fears, your concerns.
No other "god" wants to know you or cares about your feelings and your concerns.
No other "god" will answer you. No other "god" will forgive, forget and require nothing further from you.
Our God doesn't want you to die for Him, He wants you to live for Him.
God loves you and wants you to know Him personally, truly.
