3 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

satan made the woman question, then she added to the rules of God. Satan made her doubt and make the law of God seem more than it was.

What God said was:

Genesis 2:16-17KJV

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Today we have done the same. We have taken the Law of God, given to us, and we have made it more than it is. It is not hard to follow God's law but we have given in to that old snake the devil and we have added to it and taken away from it till we have what we want to hear.

Sin is sin. Wrong is wrong.

Sexual immorality, lust, greed, strong drink, laziness, gluttony, all are wrong.

Yet we have redefined, parsed, and nitpicked God's Word until it means nothing, stands for nothing.

However, as any judge will tell you, ignorance of the law is no excuse.

We have taken the law and watered it down, pacified our sinful natures, starved our spiritual man until we no longer can feel the difference, or if we do we are too weak to act upon it.

We have tele-evangelists who on national tv in an interview will not give out the Gospel of Jesus to a thirsting world. Instead, afraid to make a stand he took the road of less strife.

These "preachers" want to tell you God wants you healthy happy and rich. In actuality God wants you to lean on and depend on Him and Him alone.

God wants you dedicated solely to Him. He might make you rich, He might not. He might keep you healthy, He might not. But in His Will you will be happy.

We have taken sin and said "hath God said?" We have made it "legal" which doesn't make it right, but they have tried. We have made it a disease instead of a choice. Sin is a choice. Either you will or you won't.

God has spoken.

That settles it.

Whether you believe what He and His Word says or not doesn't matter. It is still the truth.

Sin is sin. God has said.

Don't parse words, don't try to make it easier to accept. Don't water it down.

Read what God has said and accept it at face value.
