God is not going to do our work for us

Jubilee week is over. The hard work, the spiritual movement, the fellowship day and night is over. Now we are back to our mundane hum drum life.
What are we doing to perpetuate the Spiritual movement we just achieved?
What are we doing to carry the momentum, to keep the fires of righteousness alive?
I know that one week is a short period of time, yet every year we have one week meetings here and just about everywhere.
What are they getting us? What are we doing with it?
Are we capitalizing on the momentum, capturing the Spirit and releasing it slowly through out the rest of the year.
If we are doing nothing but sitting, soaking stagnating and stinking, then why are we going to the bother of Jubilee Week or Revival week?

Judges 2:17King James Version (KJV)

17 And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the Lord; but they did not so.

Read the 3rd chapter in the book of Judges. It will amaze you how many times in one chapter one short period of time the people forgot the Lord, sinned, were persecuted and had to cry out to Him.

It is, in every instance, the people who have forgotten God. It is the people who have gone after idols.

God does not go after His people, He does not force them to return to Him. He allows them to face the consequences of their actions.

God will not bring revival, He will not force anyone to come to Him.

He will not do our work for us. He will not turn this country around.

He can. He wants to, but He will not unless His people call on Him Truly repentant and humble before Him.

The revival week is only as good as WE make it. It is only as good as we want it to be. The carryover is only as strong as we want it to be.

I have no pithy advice no short proverb to put it into perspective. I have no answers as to why we do not have real earth shaking revivals other than we are not ready. We are not willing. We are not truly humbling ourselves before very God Jehovah.

We are playing church. We are playing pious. We are play acting in our own shallow self proclaimed righteousness.

Americans have no idea what humbling ourselves mean. We have not gotten to the point that we are truly repentant, truly remorseful of our action and our inaction.

We have gone through our revival and yet are we revived? Are we full of the Spirit or too full of ourselves?

When are we going to wake up? Make a difference?

We have a personal responsibilty, a personal accountability, we have a God we must answer to.

What are you doing with the revival?

What are you doing to wake this nation? Your home, your city, your county?
