Where is our Fear of God? Where is our Respect for God? Our reverential AWE?
Why are we not afraid of God?
Why are we not afraid to be ashamed at His Coming?
Why are we not afraid of the Judgement seat of Christ?
Why are we not afraid of Him?
Fear has several uses.
One of which is the fear which is related to respect and Awe. We should fear and respect the Lord God Jehovah. We depend on Him for everything. He is our Heavenly Father capable of things we can not fathom yet we go to Him in prayer with no reverence. No respect. We call on the God of The Universe as if we are talking to our kids.
When you talk to God are you acknowledging His awesomeness and your inadequacies? His Almighty Power? Are you praising Him for His great Goodness? Or have we become accustomed and comfortable here in America and forgot that He is God? Are you acting as if He owes you something? As if He has something to prove?
The heavens know Him as He is and praise Him all the day long.
Revelation 15:3-4 King James Version (KJV)
3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
1 John 2:27-29King James Version (KJV)
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

Another Fear is the Fear of being ashamed. Are we working so that when He appears on the horizon, at His Coming, we are not going to be caught off-guard and ashamed? Are you living as if He is coming back this very minute? Are you witnessing as if there is no tomorrow? There may not be. The day of the Lord no man knows. Would you call your mom or your pastor or your dad and tell them all you are doing in your life? Is there something you would not have them know about you? Then why are you not afraid of God knowing? Why are you not afraid to be embarrassed that HE saw you?
Are you complacent in your place? Are you not worried about the souls around you going to Hell for all Eternity? Are you not living as if He was here now? Are you so comfortable that you can not get out for Him? Are you so inured with this life He has given that you can not be bothered to tell your neighbor?
Are you afraid to be ashamed?
If Not.... Why not? Why are you not afraid to be ashamed when He calls us home? Why are you not afraid to look Him in the eyes and know you did not give ALL as He did? Why are you not afraid to stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ and have all the saved of all the ages know you did not do your best? To have God who suffered and died for you look at you and you know He knows?
We shall be judged on our work, our efforts, our life testimony! Are you ready? Once He comes there is no do - over, no going back, no second chance.
1 John 2:27-29King James Version (KJV)
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
There is time to rectify this. There is time to get it right. But that time is now. We must start fearing God.
Fear Him.
There is time to witness, there is time to serve, there is time to acknowledge the God of this universe whose very breath gave us Life.
But how much time? That we do not know.
Fear the Lord Thy God. Fear His Mighty Awesomesness.
Fear His gaze and the shame you will feel.
Fear Him,
Fear the condemnation of those you know who you say you love being cast into a lake of burning fire for all eternity!
Fear Him and Respect Him. How? By doing His Work. By keeping His commandments. By loving your neighbor enough to tell them of a Loving God and A day of reckoning.
Fear Him.
