A know it salvation.

Many times the doubts and the fears start to creep in during times of crisis, weakness, etc. Am I saved? Am I a child of God?
So how do we know that we KNOW that we are saved? We can't base it on feeling - feelings change depending on the mood, circumstance, or state of mind.

1 John 5:5-15

King James Version (KJV)
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

We know that not all things are certain, that we do have changes and reversals. We have reversals in our money situation, in our relationships, and in our health. However, we can have full assurance of salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us. We know that Whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
We know that all need salvation. A full heart knowledge of the Lord. For all have sinned and forgiveness of sin can only be done through Jesus Christ. Not a priest or a court or a mother, But only through God's Son  and His shed blood that gives us the opportunity to become the adopted son's of God.
We know that we must come to repentance and the moment that we understand that we in and of ourselves can do nothing to guarantee our salvation. We are helpless, hopeless, and lost without Christ. There is none righteous no not one.
All of our goodness is as filthy rags in the sight of a just and pure and Holy God. He is Holy. He is perfect. His Son came into this world to be a perfect sacrifice. Only the sinless Son of God could have provided us this salvation.

All we have to do is call on the Lord Jesus. We know that God will hear us for His (Jesus) sake and grant us that salvation that we so desperately need.  We know that God will - Must keep His word to us, and hear the sinner's plea. We know that once we call on Him, repent ,and turn from the sin and the sin nature that we had known, we shall receive Him.
We also know that once we receive Him, once He has heard our call and changed us from prodigal son to chosen son, Then we are of His family and in His fold.
Once we get in the Father's hands we have eternal salvation and nothing.... NOTHING can remove us from Him.
Even we ourselves can not remove us from The Father's hands.
We will have the Father, The Holy Spirit, and Christ with us at all times. This does not mean we shall never sin again. This means that we can not sin without the Spirit correcting us, our conscience will sear, and our shame will be there. BUT, we have the FULL assurance that we are saved. We can confess and repent to regain fellowship but we will never, ever lose our salvation.

The truly converted repentant sinner who has received Christ will not want to sin, but as we all know we are human and we will. Sin does not lose us our salvation, quite to the contrary it re-enforces our need for it. We as true Christians should not revel in it or stay in it as the Holy Spirit will grieve, hurting our Father and demeaning the sacrifice of Christ. By His stripes we are healed. He was wounded, bruised, beaten and humiliated for us. How can we look full into that and continue in our sins?

But knowing we are saved and the full assurance of salvation is ours. Call on the name of the Lord and be saved. Once that happens, once we are secure in His Hands, we are there forever.
