I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
In this day and age we are constantly being told we must progress or stagnate, We must change to fit society. However, as an example I point to Sept 11 2001 when all of America turned to God. How quick this society turns to God for solace and comfort when they need Him. But where are they in times of peace and idleness? Looking for ways to get Him out of our lives.
It's a good thing that He has never changed nor turned aside. He can see the beginning and the end, He is the beginning and the end. He is GOD, Jehovah, and the Creator. All things are by Him and nothing was made that He didn't create.
Evolution says we started with a bang. But at what time has an explosion ever created a thing? Every explosion I have heard of has been destructive. So how did we start with a big bang? Balderdash and hooey. We have had a falling away in this nation and dare I say the majority of the world.
2 Thessalonians 2:2-4
King James Version (KJV)
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
I am not about to posit that we are in the time just before the rapture but I will say that we are in a state of complete and total complacency here in this modern age. We have left our first love. Human nature is such that we soon turn from God. The children of Israel saw miracle after miracle and yet they moaned and grumbled every few years in their travels. I have often wondered how they did this having seen the mighty works performed by God and His servant Moses. Then I realize that I too do the same thing. I will have a work, a leading, an inspiration from God, or a direct dealing from Him in some facet of my life and then inevitably in the next few days after, I forget and start to wonder what happened? was it real?
So in my time of wonder as I see Him work I know He is God but then I soon forget and expect Him to do it on my timetable to my specific expectations. But God does things so He gets the full credit so we know it is through Him only this could have happened. He is still operating and working but He is doing it to His timetable which always prove to be infinitely better than ours could ever hope to be.
Now as I am human I will continue to have these questions and to wonder if I am following the right course and the right leading. That is part of the human frailty. The true growth comes from the constant state of waiting on Him. That is how we grow and mature by seeing His hand work in on and through us.

James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning
We have our guide in the bible, we have our tour guide in the Holy Spirit. Somehow though we fail to maintain our course.
We are to cast our cares upon Him, oh how easy that is. The hard part comes when we walk away and don't run right back and snatch them out of His hands and carry them right back out with us. We must leave our cares on His shoulders and walk away with no looking back. That's the hard part.
God has never promised us a life of ease, nor a life with no sickness or debt or trouble never did He say we would be rich. He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Trust on the Lord for He is good

Footprints in the Sand Poem - Version 1

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:
one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, You said that once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed you most, you would leave me."
The Lord replied,
"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would
never leave you. During your times of trial and
suffering, when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I Carried You."

. Do not fall for the false prophets who say God wants us all to be rich and healthy. The apostle Paul had a "thorn in the flesh" God chose not to heal. Christ never had money. We are not here to be fat cats but to be fishermen.
The bait we use is simple: Christ. His death burial and resurrection. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.
Stay the course, lean on Him. He is able. He is constant!
