Revival: Fact or Fiction

We say we want revival. We talk of it, we plan on it we use the right code words, but how can we pray for revival and yet be so unwilling for it to happen? we do all the "right" promotions.... Yet we do not have revival.

Why? 

Because we do not want it. We want to have our version of feel good look at me revival-- I am on fire.... We do not want God's version of real and true revival. We don't want anything that will actually take any effort on our part. God can do everything/anything, but He will not bring revival until we turn our hearts minds time and money to HIM.

If we cant get out of bed early to prep and pray. work all day run home  eat and get to service. Or skip the ball game.. We will never have revival until we make sacrifices and service a  part of our daily ministry.

2 chronicles 7:14

If my people which are called by My name shall Humble themselves and pray and  seek  my face and turn from their wicked ways THEN will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

God Himself once again gives us the formula... He tells us how to do what we must and we as usual refuse to hear....Until we get on our knees, literally on our knees praying seeking His will and His Spirit, Then when we are begging and pleading for the state of our nation. Then and only then will we be on the track to revival.

  

Our Responsibility does not end there....We have to humble ourselves-- get out there and serve! Serve God. Serve People. SERVE!!!!! Clean the toilets, sweep the sidewalk buy fresh flowers drive the van. Whatever it takes to get the proper spirit and the serving Spirit!

Now here comes the kicker.... Get out of the way. Don't make it your way your music your message.... Make it the Spirit. I have heard messages hours long and the Spirit wasn't there.  Other times I have seen people going forward before the offering without a word of the sermon because of the Spirit.  

True revival comes from God. But only thru the hearts of His people. 

We have to be the instruments of God's revival. Get on your knees today. Ask Him what you can do to start a revival.. Ask Him to start a revival IN you.
