Can God be done with us?

 Jdg 10:13  Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more. 

Jdg 10:14  Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation. 

I think we do not give nearly enough attention to the Old Testament. 

For all those that say "God will love me no matter what" yes He will, but He will leave you to your own devices. He will allow you to find the pleasures and false gods you are seeking after and He will let you suffer through the consequences.

God has decided that the very people He set aside, that He delivered from Egypt, that He came down and personally talked too, they were to be left to their own devices.

God did get tired of them forsaking Him. 

He did get tired of them doing what ever they thought was best for them rather than following after Him.

Can He do any less for the modern day Christian? The modern day world, than what He allowed to happen to His Chosen people?

If God tells Israel to go call on the little "g" false gods they were chasing after and let them deliver them then how much more shall we get told this?

We have the Bible and the Spirit, we have greater resources, shall we not also have greater judgment for ignoring both?

In Ezekiel He likens Israel to Sodom but says the sin of Sodom was not as great as the sin of Israel!

Eze 16:48  As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. 

Eze 16:49  Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 

Eze 16:50  And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good. 

God condemned Israel to exile and slavery, He destroyed Sodom, can He do an y less than that in America today for our sin?

The modern day Christian has decided to follow other gods, convenience, comfort, and idleness. The world of today in fulness of bread and in idleness has sinned.

Can we be far from His judgment?
