When I was in the navy we would go to a foreign land, quite a few I actually went to. In all those places we went they knew I was American. The walk, the talk, the look, the money used.
It was amazing how they knew what country I belonged to. Which people I was of, just by looking at me, hearing me talk.
Jesus tells us that we are no longer of this world if we are of Him.
Joh 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
The question is do people in this world know where your citizenship is based on your walk? We are not of this world if we have been born again.
If you are truly born again then this world is not your home, nor is it your country. Will anyone know or recogniize you as a stranger in a strange land? Can they identify your homeland by your walk and talk? Can they tell you are not of this world but of the world to come?
As an Ambassador to The Living God will they know you as His representative? Will they see you as the son of the King or do they think you are of them?
This is a serious question. Last March we did a series in Sunday to try to have a spiritual chreck up for ourselves. Here we are 9 months later and it is probably time to check the "oil" again.
Are you a stranger in this land, yet an Ambassador to the next?
