2Sa 6:14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
2Sa 6:15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
This is what is wrong in America. There is not true rejoicing of the Lord and His Works, we are too educated, too civilized, too erudite. We are too proud to acknowledge that He is responsible for all we had, all the good America experienced (yes I put them in the past tense). Now we are falling away because we no longer give God the Glory, we no longer praise and worship. We no longer do a thing except go to church to be entertained, watch a service and go home.
David danced mightily when the Ark, the temporary house of God here on earth. was returned to Jerusalem. In fact, Israel's image was so wrapped up in the Ark of the Covenant that when it was stolen from the land the daughter in law of Eli named her son Ichabod for the Glory of the Lord had departed.
Yet when our pandemic was over, did we return to the House of the Lord with singing and praise and dancing in Joy that God delivered His people?
What does praise and testimony time look like in your church? In your home? In your heart?
America no longer holds God as sacred, America no longer holds God as worthy of praise and Worship.
David, danced, in front of all the people, for the return of the Ark. He set an example. Are we too dignified to set an example?
Praise and sing and let God hear you! we do not offer sacrifices of blood anymore, but we should be lifting His name in Praise. There should be joy in His House for we have a mighty God, and everlasting Savior.
After a year of the pandemic Christians should be in church every chance they get, praising and singing to the God who delivered them.
We will never win a world if we do not get back to God. After all, He is what they need, Not the church. We pretty much proved that when the church ran and hid in the pandemic and left the world to it's own devices.
Praise sing worship and dance for truly our God is Worthy of our Praise. Until we get back to Praising Him openly, unashamedly, worshipping Him in Word and deed we will not have His blessing.
