You must be born again

 A few years ago I wrote about fundamental being a bad word in the church of today, getting back to the fundamentals being necessary for the church of today.

Today I am going to address the most scorned phrase, ridiculed by the world, a laughingstock of a phrase. Yet one vital to the Christian Faith.

Born again.

When you hear that you think of a prisoner "reformed" , or of a fallen celebrity on a rebound, it is used in talk shows as laugh fodder, a punch line.

We have allowed Christianity to be hijacked and laughed at and the worst part is that the phrase "ye must be born again" are of Christ, yet the world and the church take them so very lightly.

Joh 3:3  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 

Jesus said you must be born again, God said you must be born again. You must be born of water (the physical) and of the Spirit (The Spiritual). You must be born again.

This is not a catch phrase, these are the very Words of life eternal and we have allowed them to be a joke, a punch line. We the Christians of this world allow it by holding nothing sacred, not standing up for our God, our Faith and our purpose.

We have become so far removed from being men of faith, men of leadership, men of action in this world. We have allowed the world to cow us into limited reach, limited concern, we have let them require change of us, we have allowed them to pin us into the corner and have no effect. 

Yet " Ye must be born again"

That should be our rallying cry. The very Word gave these words of Life to Nicodemus. Yet they have been cheapened, they have been reduced to nonsense.

In very truth you must be born again to see the Kingdom of God. There is no life, no life eternal if you have not placed your faith in Christ. There must be a physical birth, and there must be a spiritual birth. A Spiritual birth that brings you into the family of God. A family that you have been allowed into through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. 

Joh 3:4  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 

Joh 3:5  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 

Ye must be born again. You must believe in Christ, the Son of God, the One who became the propitiation for your sin, who Himself, knew no sin. God came to this earth, took on human form, lived as we live, died as we died, was buried and rose again the third day.

You must believe on Him, you must understand there is no other way to heaven, there is no access to the Father except through Him. You must have a relationship with Him and the Father through Him, or there is no heaven for you. There is only death and pain. There is only hell awaiting a heart that does not know Christ.

Ye must be born again, that is it. That is truth. That is Life.
