Do you believe in Hell?

I heard something very interesting the other day, the gist of it was "that for some folks there is no tomorrow and that makes them dangerous people."

That is a very true statement. when people are aware that there is no tomorrow, that today is the last day they have, they live different, but what about when they do not know?

That thought compelled me to another train of thought, Knowing that ,for some, there is no tomorrow on this earth should that not make us more fervent in our soul winning? In our calling the lost to Christ?

Knowing that tomorrow is not guaranteed for anyone, is that not a reason for more urgency in our soul winning? In our preaching and teaching?

There are several references to tomorrow in the Bible.

Mat_6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Jas_4:13  Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:

Jas_4:14  Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Knowing that nothing is guaranteed then why are we not more fervent, More urgent in our reach to lost folks? Why do we seem so complacent as if we have eternity to reach them? We do not, we have a finite amount of time, we have a set of days placed before us to witness, before they or us are gone. Why then do we not press even more fervently upon them? Why do we act as if Hell is not real, Judgment will not come, and they will always have another day?

If we truly believe that Hell is real, if we truly believe in eternal torment for any and all who do not come to Christ, then why do we limit ourselves to one service a week, in one place, they must come to us and find us.

If we truly believe in eternal death and destruction for those who do not know Christ, for those who reject His Sacrifice then why do we act as if there is no such thing?

We must not really believe. We must truly not think there is a Hell burning with fire and flame that never goes out. We must not believe that God would allow people to go there and stay there forever and ever. For if we believed, truly believed in this eternal damnation we would not be rushing out of church to go to dinner. No we would be rushing out of church to preach the Gospel to a lost and dying world, praying for them, witnessing to them, sharing Christ that they might forgo this fate.

Now if we branch out then to what happens when the rapture takes place and the Christians are pulled from this world, to face their Lord and to hear Him say well done. If the rapture can happen at any moment, truly this day at any time, then why are we not witnessing more fervently than ever knowing our Lord will be coming back and there will be a reckoning of what we did with our time? Does this not mean we should be working harder than ever, not less?

Does this not mean we should be sacrificing more of ourselves than ever?

No matter what happens, the rapture or the death of the lost around us, it is not a good scenario for us if we are complacent.

Why are we not crawling on our knees across broken glass to witness? Why are we not at the church every moment we are not working, sleeping, or eating, praying for our nation, our family, our fathers, brothers, sisters? Why have we allowed them to die and go to Hell?

Why have we allowed them to not hear of Christ?

Why have we allowed death to win? Satan to prevail? People to perish and have to spend eternity in flames?

It is our fault.

We shall either give answer for it to our Lord and God, or we shall have to look them in the eye on the final judgment day and watch them get cast into an eternal flame knowing, KNOWING we did not tell them.

Tomorrow is the end for someone, have you told them?
