Headlines.

Have you read the headlines lately?
Cannibals.
Drug overdoses.
Sex dolls.
Swinger parties.
Civil unrest.
Children sex trafficking.
Satanists working with the government.

Wow. 30 years ago all of this was unheard of in the mainstream. it happened sure but not nearly as often nor was it taken in stride by regular people as people just being people.
In my younger days we would have gasped and been shocked.
The depravity of mankind and the behaviors have become such that when a headline like these are read it's not uncommon.
Now it's not accepted across the board I understand that but the fact that we have lost our shock value in any sense tells us of the desensitization of this nation.

What do you take away from this situation? what's your read on it?

Mine?
Glad you asked.
We have a world, a nation out there right now crying out for Christ.
They have a void in their life that must be filled. They have no idea what they are missing but they are missing something.
They have something they need and they know they need it, they just have not figured out what we already know.
Man was designed to need his Creator. Not just know of Him but to know Him, fellowship with Him, Worship Him.
We have an innate need for our God and Creator.
Those who do not know of the peace of Christ, who do not know their Creator, who do not know that He is the inner need they are trying so desperately to fill.

Php_4:7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The peace of God which passes all of our understanding is what we need. The peace of God to know He is in control and over all. The peace of God that lets us accept what's going on because we KNOW that God has our best interests at heart and will do nothing to harm us, but that all He does is to bring us closer to Him if we allow Him to.

Mat 11:27  All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

They need Christ, yet they do not know it.
How will they know?
We must tell them. We must get off our recliners and tell them.
We must stop this world from silencing us and tell them.
We must stop worrying about offending.
We must stop worrying about losing our jobs because we are Christians.
We must stop worrying about us!

We must start worrying about them.
We must start putting them first in our thoughts and our prayers and our actions.
Your mother, father, sister, son, brother, daughter, niece, nephew neighbor.
We must tell them. Yet not only in word but also in deed.
Where is your testimony?
What is your testimony?

Can they see Christ in you? If they cannot, then when you tell them they won't listen nearly as intently.
Can they see their need for God through you and what you have that they need?
Are you just like them out in the world? do you have your work face and your church face separate?
Is there a difference in you or are you the light all the time?
Are you a shining beacon on Sunday and a lit match monday through Saturday?

They need Christ but they will only know through us, whether through our actions, or our testimony, or our words.
They need the peace that passes all understanding.
They need Christ.

That's the headline that should be your first read everyday,
Christ died for them that they too may know peace, joy and true pure love.
Christ and Christ alone.

But how will they know if no one tells them?
Let them read your headline.
