Beloved

The other day at work I was helping a customer. Now if you know me you know this is standard, however this customer ,a big ole fella, said "thank you beloved".
Immediately my mind went to Christ but due to the world we live in I hesitated. I asked him the context and he replied biblical.
But then I was aghast that the world has become so corrupt that I hesitated instead of taking it as intended.
Rebounding thought, I caught the remark as intended but not knowing the speaker I did hesitate.

This world is not my home, I am just passing through.

We ,the born again Christians, are the beloved. The Church is THE Bride of Christ. We are the whole reason Christ came, suffered and died.

We are the Beloved!
God so loved us.
God died for us.
Why? What were we that He considered us?
We were/are the Beloved.

Mat 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Mat 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Jesus was God Incarnate on this earth, He has since moved to the right hand of the Father.

He was/is God's beloved son.

Through His death, His shed blood, we are now adopted into the family of God. We are not servants, we are not pressed into service, we are not sent to the little kids table, but through Christ we are at the table of the Father.
We are the Beloved of the Father thanks to Christ's sacrifice. Through God's mercy and His Grace we are sanctified, justified and purified
Not through ought of our own, but through Him we have a Father, we have a brother, we have a family!
God does not compel us, He does not force us. He calls, He asks.

The Beloved answered that call.

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
What must be done to be part of the beloved?
Nothing, except believing on our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
