The prayer, does it go on?

 3 months ago almost every Christian in the nation was praying for Donald Trump to win the presidential election.
 3 weeks ago he was inaugurated and we were all praying for his cabinet picks and guidance for him from Above.
Are you praying still?
There have been positive signs in the first few weeks of a return to faith, of a good christian man in office. Yet he is being blocked and ridiculed by everyone. I say everyone because most of us who support him have real jobs, real problems, and lives outside of politics and Washington, D.C, without the time to be a part of that circus.

1Ti 2:1  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1Ti 2:2  For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1Ti 2:3  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Paul tells us to pray for our leaders. Pray for them for the wisdom to lead us.

We prayed with a passion until we elected a man to office that was not a liberal, one who we hoped would stop the path this country was going down.

However, once he got elected did you stop praying? He is just a man after all. He must contend with the system and bureaucracy that is in place. He must learn the ropes in a corrupt and polluted swamp. He needs our prayers now more than ever.

Remember he is just a man. The One to whom we pray is the real power behind and on the Throne.
At no time did God say stop. It is an ongoing and worthwhile thing to pray hour by hour, day by day.

The forces of evil are at work against this man, this country. We were once the moral compass of this world, We are now the leading exporter of perversions.

I am a man who has led a life that has not been good and righteous, I have sinned and made my share of mistakes times 10.
Yet a little while ago a little girl was born, she made me think of my legacy. What I did worthy of remembrance on this earth. One who made me think of what I was leaving behind.

Trust me the answer wasn't good.
I can not erase years and years and years of rottenness before I leave this earth.

The only way to do this is through prayer. Praying for the Power of God to move and restore this once great and Godly nation to return to Him so my grandbabies are not living in a perverted sin filled hate filled country.

I have taken my eyes off of the things of man. I have looked to the cross and there fixed my hope and my faith. For truly only through that good and mighty work can any good come.

Now just because my line of sight has changed it has not changed my address. I still live on Earth the third rock from the Sun/Son.

I still must slog through this world daily, with all the sin, corruption, temptations there are here. I am not perfect and I will sin again daily if not more often.

This same problem exists in all of us. From the dogcatcher, preacher, teacher, politician, ballplayer, etc.
We must all live here and in the mire and muck.
Prayer is all we have that can affect change, prayer is our phone. we must pick it up daily and talk to our Father and let Him know our cares, concerns, and thoughts. Daily we must ask Him to cleanse and renew us. Daily we must pray for those over us that they have the strength to stand amid all the pitfalls.

We must pray as they lead. They are not perfect but HE is. God can change men's hearts and minds. We must pray, ask, encourage and exhort. We must lift them up.
