Daily

I have this thing on my smart phone called candy crush. Now that's not a big deal but it has an interesting feature where when you log in on consecutive days you get a bonus. Well it appears mine was logged into for 60 consecutive days without missing a day. Great accomplishment right?
60 days straight without missing one.
Can I say the same about devotions? Prayer? Scripture?

We have these things that take our attention, things we must do everyday. I have 2 games on my phone I log into for escape both made by King.
Yet I have 3 Bible apps I can not say I have been in each and every day over that same time frame and they were made by The King.

Psa_86:3  Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

Isa 58:2  Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.

Luk_9:23  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Daily.
The things we do daily that are of no consequence in the great scheme of things. Yet the things we do not do daily that have (or could have if we did them) a huge impact.
I am not against the games, but how much time do we waste?
Taking a minute or 5 and getting your eyes off the day's problems, settling your mind, re-purposing your goals.
Isn't that what your daily prayer and devotional are for?

Luk_11:3  Give us day by day our daily bread.
Daily food, daily petitions, daily needs, daily troubles, daily trials.

Daily the 1st church met

Act_2:46  And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

Daily.
This in not by minute or by second or even by hour, but daily..

In our 24 hour day are we daily at the well?
Do we daily go to the well of Living water?
Do we daily get our manna?

One day at a time we can make a change. The only question is what change do we work towards?
Daily in games, tv? or daily in God's Will, Word, and Work?

Daily.
