Mat 15:10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
Mat 15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
Mat 15:12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
Mat 15:13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
Mat 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Mat 15:15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
Mat 15:16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
Mat 15:17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
Mat 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
Mat 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
Mat 15:20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
Defile. Defilement. To defile.
This is a very hard subject yet it is very timely.
I have heard just today of a church that calls itself a church but the "pastor" is a self-avowed atheist.
Christ tells us that defilement comes from the heart. That what goes in is not defiling for it is of nourishment to the physical side. it is what comes out from within deep in our hearts, our core that defile.
All the 10 commandments are based on thought, heart, and character. Sin originates in the heart.
In Jeremiah we are told:
Jer 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
It is not food or dirty hands or whatever we take in at our mouths that defile us.
It is that which comes from within.
We have changed the message, watered down the consequences, thrown away accountability, and turned to a message of peace, love, goodness, and inner empowerment.
We have allowed the removal of God from schools, society, and homes. We stood by and have done nothing. This comes from our heart. We are no longer God's servants. We have tried to make Him ours.
We have defiled ourselves with these failures. We have allowed it and we are at fault. This is defilement.
We have the blind leading the blind from our pulpits. Our christian testimony does not extend beyond the pew anymore. We have "included" everyone and in doing so we have left God out.
We have left off the gospel for a message of your ok, I'm ok. We the God fearing Christians have allowed the liberals and progressives to marginalize us to the point that we have just shut our mouths and retired to the corner.

I am almost ashamed to see the state of our nation. We the once mighty U.S. of A, have become the US of perversions. We opened the doors of the churchto all ,as we should, but we then .allowed them to change us instead of us allowing God to effect a change in them.
Where did we go wrong? How do we fix it?
I am not so sure we can. There may be no recovery for us.
Time and again in the Old Testament God heard His people cry out and delivered them.
That is our only hope.
He is our only Hope.
