Crossing Jordan = leaving our comfort zone

A prominent pastor brought an amazing thought to light: crossing Jordan, while a good analogy for death, it is in the literal sense, leaving what you know and going out into the unknown and facing your battles.
The Israelites were journeying in the desert for 40 years, they were there because they doubted God's ability.
In the book Exodus the people murmured against God believing the report of the 10 spies. God then did not allow them to cross over to the promised land, instead He made them wait until all the doubters were dead.
Finally, after all the doubters who did not believe God is able died, then were they allowed to go into the promised land.

Joshua 3:9-10KJV
And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the LORD your God. 10And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites.

Now notice, He didn't say enter your land of rest, He said God will lead and drive out your enemies.
Jordan is the boundary of your comfort zone and the battles you will face.
Once the children of Israel believed God, stepped out in faith, and showed they were ready to follow God no matter where, what, when, or how then did God allow them to enter the land.
Once we get out of our comfort zones and start looking only at Him, ready to step out in faith, then we have crossed Jordan.
Crossing Jordan to get to the "promised land", getting to the promises of God. Getting to the point where you trust solely in Him, follow His leading then are you crossing Jordan.
What's your comfort zone?

What's keeping you from stepping out?

Where are you in your faith journey?

Are you going out in the strength of the Lord or are you staying put in doubt?

Cross Jordan to get to where God wants to lead you.
