Our Translation

The Rapture is a tough thing to wrap our minds around in this day and age. Millions of people gone in an instant.
I have read some of the books by Tim Lachey, I have read Thessalonians, and Revelations.
I look to the sky every so often and say " is it today, is today the day you are coming?".
I used to think it would be easier to explain away the Rapture in the days before mass media, mass communication.
Then I realized God wants as much known about what happened as possible. God does not operate in secret. He wants people to know it was Him, that it could have only been Him, so they can turn to Him.
He has creation testifying of Him, He has the Bible testifying of Him, he has people testifying of Him. He wants all the people of the world to know Him. That way the can make their choice fully cognizant of all the facts.
Now with that in mind, and with the corruption of the media channels of today, they way they report what they want you to know, the way they slant their stories, and articles to their view it isn't going to be that hard for them to spin this story when it happens.
Satan has influenced and corrupted so many in the mass media arena, and they have followed along whole heartedly, that to actually explain away the Rapture will be easy.
Couple that with the fact that we are so used to seeing bad news on a large scale now, plane wrecks, virus outbreaks, ships sinking, mass murderers, etc.
Then there is the fact that the people of this world take the news and instead of forming their own opinion, or investigating it, they take the tv's word for it and go along on their merry way.
It's not going to be that hard of a sell to this world whatever explanation they use when we are translated out. In fact, with the Holy Spirit gone with us they will more easily believe whatever they are told.
So if you were like me in wondering how they were going to spin this, just look around and see the mindless people today swallow all the stuff they are being fed.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18King James Version (KJV)

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

There is a rapture coming. We will be going home. Whether through death or translation we will be with God as believers.

The rapture is The end of our chapter.

But the earth's chapter, at that point, will be hitting the last few chapters before the end of the Book.

In all actuality it does not matter what we think or how they spin it we will be gone.

What does matter is what if you don't have Christ?

That's a big problem for you.

What if you are left behind to buy the lies and the garbage spewing forth from the media?

How will you know the truth?

Will you believe the man of sin when he comes? Will you buy the lies and the spin? With the Holy Spirit gone all that will be left of Christ's followers is video, books, Bibles and memories.
