I am worried that we are losing the war, the world is winning. And why? Because we have lost our standards. We have compromised. We have had the "go along to get along" attitude for too long. The muslim faith is growing because they will not soften their stance on anything. People are flocking to Islam because they stand for something. They do not waver.
Christians have given too much ground, the church has accepted too much wrong doing and we have lost the boundaries, the rules, the very structure of our faith. We have failed this world by playing games with sin, by not standing firm on God's principles.
It is because we have loosened our standards, because we have got away from God's law that people are trying to force us to do more. Had we never left the stern the unbending law of God it would never have happened. Had we never budged they would never have asked, demanded more. If you give satan a toe hold you will lose the foot. We have lost the whole leg!
Why does no one ask the muslim if they will have gay clerics? Why does no one ask Islam if they will allow women clerics? Because you already know the answer and they will not budge.
There was a time in my memory when the church in America was the same way. When they stood for something. When we would take a stand on sin and not budge. That is no longer the case. The church has allowed sin, condoned sin and even invited it into their pulpits, their practices, their worship services.
Some call what I am saying old fashioned, outdated, narrow minded. And I agree. It is that way because no one thinks like that anymore. We have taken the liberties that God has given us and we have pushed them farther into area He never intended for us to go. We have allowed so much to go on to pad our numbers, to increase tithes, to make our churches look fuller and yet all we have done is made the church irrelevant.
I know what I am about to say will not be popular but I am going to say it anyway:
Lose the shorts and jeans. Dress for success. Put on a suit and tie and respect the Word of God by showing He is worth the effort.
Stop the 7-11 music. Sing Praise and worship hymns that have a message. I heard a song that repeated "I will bless Thee O God" 12 times. That was the song! We are here for His blessing, how can we bless Him? Where is Amazing Grace? Where is The old rugged cross?
Lose the Bingo night.
Stop the rock music in our church services.
Preach out against sin.
Warn people of Hell, it's real.
Warn people of the wrath of God, not just His Love.
Stop smiling and giving benedictions, Tell the people the truth. There are consequences, sin is wrong, God will judge.
Stop looking at the clock as you put forth the message of God.
Start preaching a life of purity.
Start putting God's Word first.
Start setting a fire from the Holy Spirit.
Quit letting the government, society, dictate what we do and say.
Start letting them know that what they are doing is wrong, and we are not going to just roll over and let them do what ever they think is right.
God gave us the 10 Commandments. Our law is based on that. Get back to God's law.
Exodus 20:2-18 KJV

Exodus 20:2-18 KJV
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lordthy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
