There was a kid's movie that in it uttered a timeless truth " tomorrow is the future,yesterday is gone, today is a gift, a present".
Luke 23:43
That truth while simple is yet very profound.
We are to not worry for tomorrow it will bring it's own troubles, yesterday we can not change, we must simply live in the time that we are in: today.
We can not live our lives based on what we have done. We can not live our lives on what we might do.
We must simply live our lives based on what we are doing and make the most of the opportunities presented to us today.
Today is tomorrow's past and yesterday's future.
Today is all you can handle.
Today is the most important day of the rest of your life.
God has promised not to give us more than we can bear and that is today.
What are you doing with your today?
Are you rejoicing in the Lord and being glad for it?
Are you making the most of it for His Glory?
Are you making today the day that will live forever in Glory?
Are you pressing towards the mark today?
Are you running the race today to win the crown of life?
Are you praising and singing to our God in Heaven who has given us the gift of today?
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the Lord, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.
Today is the day. Today is what matters, the day of difference making. The day of rejoicing, the day of working, the day of deliverance, the day of salvation.
Today is all that matters. What are you going to do that matters?
Today.
Seize the day.
Make today your day.
Take today and set it aside for God, for His Glory.
Consecrate yourselves Today.
Today is the day of History. His story.
Write your today in the annals of history.
