Moral decay

My wife and I took a day off yesterday and went to an amusement park. We had fun, rides, had funnel cakes, and sweated alot.

However, while we were there I noticed people were dressed (men, women, kids) out in public in attire they wouldn't have worn in their own house with visitors a few years ago. Men going shirtless, women letting it all hang out everywhere, young girls and boys showing the world all they have.

This was bad enough, but their language,  their conversation, their behavior was rude, coarse and completely off putting.

They were all in search of a thrill and fun, and not a thought was given to public decency. 

To be honest, I was embarrased for us as a people, as a nation.

I know what you are going to say, that I am old fashioned, that I am out of date, out of touch.

I say, however, that I am still living by rules and boundaries. I say that we have broken down so many barriers that we are hurtling to a downfall, that we are running straight to destruction and we have torn down any fences that might have saved us.  A moral breakdown in this country that has never been seen has occurred, And I am not sure there is room to turn around on this highway we have embarked upon.

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

We as a country, as a nation, as a people knew God. We now glorify Him not as God . We have put the creature (man) in His place. We have ( yes the church too) placed our own pleasures, our own comforts ahead of Him. We have taken God out of our daily lives and placed Him in the closet. Then, like a childhood toy,  we take Him out once a week or so and play with Him.

Is it any wonder our country is so immoral? Is it any wonder we are morally bereft?
