Where are the great and mighty works?

Jeremiah 33:3King James Version (KJV)

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Where are the great and mighty things of God? Where are the workings that we know not?

Is it because God is not able? Does He not care? Has He just taken a "hands off" approach to His creation?

Or is it because we the people of God do not call unto Him as we should? Have we lost our fervor, our expectations of Him?

He is still God, He is still on the Throne. He is unchanging, the Alpha and Omega.

Therefore the obvious conclusion is that we have watered down our expectations, we have lowered our level of asking. We have limited Him through our inability to fathom Him and His power.

We can not place our limitations on Him and His Power, we can not ask in the limited understanding we have. We must ask in the hope and power of His Will.

What is His will? That All should come to repentance. What does He want? That All should come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

We are living, praying as if The game is already over. We are so Elamites with the return of Christ and how it must be any time, that we have forgotten that the race is not over. That the fight is not over, the bell hasn't rung, but the fight rages on.

Christ hasn't come therefore the battle is still ongoing. We have the agenda laid out before us, but we have taken that agenda and hung up our guns. We have stopped fighting because we have read the final chapter and figured we can't do anything to stop the inexorable march towards the end.

But we have been told that the timing of the end is not known to any but the Lord God Almighty. That God can and will continue to work at the behest of His people for the furtherance of His Word until HE says it is time.

Stop reading Revelations as if it is here, it is a look ahead not a stopping point for today. The events of Revelation can not happen until after Christ returns. He has not yet.

Therefore we must get off the bench and work, and fight. We must continue as if there is no end in sight. We have a God who wants to unleash His Will. Who wants to turn this world upside down. He would that no one should perish but that ALL come to repentance.

Faith the grain of a mustard seed is all we need. Prayer sweat and tears is what we should use.

Get off the couch, stop chasing the almighty dollar and allow the Almighty God to stop the tide of Evil.

We can still turn this world around, but we can not do it if we don't ask of Him. If we don't try.

God's power has not diminished.

The problem lies with us.

Be a part of the solution not the problem.
