The apathy agenda

Revelation 3:14-16

King James Version (KJV)
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

This is the state of the church folk here in the good ole USA. We are neither cold nor hot. And before I get skewered by folks who say "This ain't me" let me say, in America this is us.

We either serve when it serves our agenda, when it profits us, when in line with our convenience or when it doesn't cost us anything. We are not following the sacrificial love of Christ we are following the path of least resistance. We do not get involved because we must "tolerate" others. Well we do have to "tolerate" others but we do not have to let them shove us to the backseat while they drive us to Hell in this country.

We need to get over the whole " I am saved, God can take care of the rest". Well that is not necessarily so. In an earlier post Somebody was the central figure. What if U are that somebody? What if we are the people God wants to use to start that great revival?

Our example is to be open and true. We as Church going God-fearing Right living Christians. Just as long as we don't have to show it or talk about it or stand up for it.

It's time for us to take our rightful place in this nation. Lead by example show our LIGHT. Be in your place at church time, openly follow your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Let the pastors, Deacons, Singers, Evangelists, Missionaries, Teachers, Bus Drivers, and Laymen Stand up for Christ. Be loud be proud and be True to Him that redeemed us!

Matthew 5:15-16

King James Version (KJV)
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

When I go to church on a Sunday night and 20 people are there, but the football stadium can be filled with 80,000 we are in trouble. We have failed in our mission here in the USA. We are losing the fight. I know that in the last days there will be a turning away from God by the world but here we have the church turning away too. The church is following their own path instead of the one laid before us by our God. We are not even trying for the most part.
Don't get me wrong we have pockets throughout the US that are on fire for God. I am not quite in the state Elijah was in when he complained he was all alone when there were still hundreds serving God.

1 Kings 18:21-23

King James Version (KJV)
21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the Lord; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

There were still 7000 who stood with Elijah and God.
We are either afraid to stand for fear of ridicule, or we feel we are alone, or we just don't care. The first two we can fix. We can make a difference in our nation. We can stem the tide of the agents of Hell.
The third is a bigger problem hence the title of "the apathy agenda".
If we don't care then we need to check our salvation our confession of sin and our conscience, For truly we must care and act if we are following the Holy Spirit.

That then brings a bigger problem/issue to mind. Do we care about the Holy Spirit? Do we want Him leading? Do we want to follow where He leads? Have we quenched the Spirit so much that we can't feel Him? Or have we gone so far off track that we don't want to?

Now is the time for the proverbial gut-check. Now is the time for us to be fervent in our prayers. Now is the time for us to make a stand in our house, neighborhood, community, city, county, state, and country.

2 Corinthians 6:1-3

King James Version (KJV)
We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

It's not to late for us I believe, God can and will grant us a reprieve if we stand pray confess and repent. But if we do not make a stand now we may never have the chance to Stand again. Search your heart pray that He will use you, Feel the Spirit and go where He leads.... Take A Stand!
