Take Christ and Him alone to them.

 1Co 15:3  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

1Co 15:4  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

1Co 15:5  And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

Paul was saved by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul (then Saul) a murderer, a persecutor of the church was used by God both in the natural and then in the saved state,

Saul was used to disperse the church and spread the Gospel, then Paul was used to spread the Gospel, plant churches, and spread the Gospel to the Gentiles.. A doubly effective life.

Paul, a Jew and a Roman citizen, had all the qualifications, and he used both to win the people. Saul a Pharisee and ultra religious man, then Paul the regenerated sinner was uniquely qualified to carry the Gospel to a lost and dying world. One that needed the Gospel.

And what message did he take to the unwashed masses? Christ and Him Crucified.

What has always thoroughly fascinated me? Paul and Peter, and Phillip took the message of Christ and that alone to win a world to Christ.

There was no show, no grandstands, just Christ preached and the Holy Spirit convicting. On the day of Pentecost Christ was preached, yes there was a miracle for the Spirit descended like fire and they all spoke to each man in their own language. Kind of the reverse of the tower of Babel. That was a unique day. Impossible to repeat.

1Co 15:8  And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

1Co 15:9  For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

1Co 15:10  But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

1Co 15:11  Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

Have you truly considered these 2 Apostles? The ones who shook the earth? They were exact opposites.

Peter was uneducated, loud, brash and he was used mightily by God. Yes he walked with Christ but he was unlettered, unversed and totally unqualified. Yet God used him mightily.

Paul was very educated, but his education was in all the wrong things. He was well versed in Jewish law but not in the ways of Christ. He was well educated in the system of the day, and Christ had to break him down to where he (Paul) knew only Christ and Him crucified.

I was watching a documentary the other night "American Gospel" and do you know what this was showing? That the Gospel, and the Gospel alone is the most effective way to win souls, change lives, and further the cause of Christ.

Young and old were being won, not by bands, not by "fun", not by ways of the world but by the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Have you ever considered that every major religion (yes even the false ones) have Christ in them? Jehovah's Witnesses (false) acknowledges Christ, Islam (false) acknowledges Christ, Mormons (false) acknowledge Christ, Catholics (False ) acknowledge Christ.

Why do they incorporate Christ? For satan uses half truths to lead the people astray, to pervert and water down the message of Christ and Christ alone. Christ came and died for the sins of the world, so that man may know God in a personal way, have eternal life and satan hates that very thought. For he hates man, hates the status man was given, and will do all in his power to keep man from that knowledge.

Have you ever wondered why crucifixion was necessary? That point in time was chosen? Why God's timetable was as it is?

God told us He (Christ) would die on a tree, that by His stripes we would be healed, that He would be suspended between heaven and earth, and the cross was the only way for all that to be accomplished. For His shed blood which poured out on Mount Calvary was necessary for the remission of sins.

Think of it, if He died in America today He would die by electric chair or lethal injection, neither meeting the requirements of the shed blood. Beheading, guillotine wouldn't accomplish that, hanging, no.

It had to be crucifixion, it had to be on the cross as foretold by the brass serpent in Moses' day.

All of the Bible points to the cross, all of creation points to God, All Scriptures tell the story of Jesus.

The Gospel the Good News of Man's redemption, that is the message and it is today still the most effective way to reach the lost.

Christ and Him crucified is the message to take to the world. For He and He alone has the answers.

It has been all that is necessary for centuries, and it is just as effective today as it was yesterday.
