a prayer conversation

Every now and then I will post a conversation I had with God on here and this is going to be one of those. Now of course I can not recreate it word for word for in the moment there was passion, heart pleading but I will try to get the full gist of it here.

I was driving to help my mother out and started talking to God:

" Lord this world is in darkness, this nation my nation has had their eyes blinded by the god of this world but you are God over all. He can do nothing that you do not allow. Father my people in this nation have blinded eyes, they can not see that what they are doing is straight from the devil. Father this nation my nation needs you, open their eyes to the sin and corruption,

Father Moses interceded for the people of Israel and you turned away your wrath.

Abraham interceded, bargained even for the lives of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Now Father I am interceding for my nation my people.

Israel was the people of Moses, he knew them and loved them.

Abraham did not know Sodom and Gomorrah yet he knew Lot. He interceded for complete strangers and you gave him an ear. Lot according to my Bible was a righteous man vexed by the sin around him, Lord I am vexed by the sin, by the degradation of of my people.

Now Lord this nation is my nation these people are my people.

Moses and Abraham are no different than I, yes they were known through out their land but Lord if you hear them and do not hear me then your Word is not true. Then you are a respecter of persons that my Bible says you are not.

You wrote the Bible so how can that be any less than truth?

For if you heard them you must hear me.

Yet not just me but Father I have your Son sitting at your right hand interceding for me as I intercede for my nation. I have the Holy Spirit praying and uttering and groaning in words that better say what I am saying than I could possibly say.

Father, I am not a righteous man but I can name 10 that are, that was the bargain you made with Abraham, (and then I said something completely off point) why did Abraham stop at 10? Why did he not bargain down to one? He knew there was one, why did he stop at 10, was he naive? or did he believe in the good of man more than man believed in the good?

Father, I am not righteous but who is? I can stand on the name above all names and I can claim the name of Jesus, for He said whatsoever I ask in His name it shall be done. His Righteousness I can claim, His name I can stand on.

Father in His name, the Blessed name of Jesus I ask that you turn your wrath away from America as you did for the Israelites, I pray that you hold the cup of your judgment from us. Turn this nation around, remove the blinders from their eyes, talk to their hearts and minds, and  Lord if I must be the catalyst so be it, here am I. Lord let me stand in the gap.

Father you have three interceding right now, If all 3 of my children came to me with a request they would get it Lord, and you are a far better Father than I.

Father hear my prayer, hear my intercession, hear the Lord Jesus praying with me, hear the Holy Spirit interceding for me as I intercede for my nation, Lord Turn your wrath far from us."

Now you ask why did I print this out. Simple I did this to ask every one to do the same, to plead with God from your heart your spirit, that God turn His wrath from us.

I see formulaic prayers being passed around, people quoting something someone else wrote. My God wants to hear from me, in my words, from my heart. Your God wants to hear from you, in your words, from your heart. Crying out to Him in concern for our nation, the sin of our nation, the judgment of our nation.

This people, my people, His people must pray. We must intercede for our nation. For our friends and families. 

Pray plead beg, that He will restore His blessing to us.
