to will and to do.

Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Php 2:14  Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
Php 2:15  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

God works in us to get us to do what pleases Him.
God created us, God had to come to earth to die and be our Salvation, and God has to work in us for us to do good.
God does it all.

So what do we do with His work?

That is the question.
God must work in us to do what pleases Him.
God works in us to make us want to do what pleases Him.

For we must do His good pleasure, that is our duty. That is our obligation.
We must will to do His good pleasure. That means that we must steel ourselves, have a backbone and do His good pleasure. We must set our face toward God and work towards His goals, His plans, His Holiness.
The one thing we have failed to do is that we have not willed to do His good pleasure, we have willed to stay silent on sin, on service, and on the Bible.
WE have allowed tolerance to become our way of life rather than His holiness and pureness,

Christ when He was here on this earth He did of the Father's Will. He knew His time was come, that He must suffer and die for us.

Luk 9:51  And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,
.
He set His face to go to Jerusalem. He knew what the Father wanted Him to do. He did what He willed Himself to do. He willed Himself to do of His Father's pleasure.
Jesus knew that His future was not going to be easy or pleasant. He knew He was going to be suspended between heaven and earth.
Rejected of man and of God, He was going to hang suspended for all to see, that He was going to be humiliated, alone, abandoned by not just His disciples, but by God the Father in Heaven.
He knew He was going to be totally alone.

Yet He willed to do of His Father's pleasure.

This is what we are lacking in mainstream Christianity today. To Will and to Do of His Good pleasure no matter the cost. Not our ease and convenience but His Good Pleasure. To stand totally and utterly alone against the sin of this world.
Yet we have one thing Christ did not have. We have the promise of God that He will never leave us or forsake us.
Christ hung alone, God turned His face from Him and man mocked Him, a position that we will never have to be in.

We no longer serve God in this nation. We have become lovers of selves more than of God.
I am not saying all of us but the vast majority who call themselves Christians.
The "God is Love" crowd.
God is Love, God is also Judge and Jury. He hates sin, He can not abide sin in His presence.
Jesus did not say to the woman caught in adultery I love you and I want you to be the best you in your sin.
Jesus said 'go and sin no more.'
Jesus forgave sins, he healed the sick, /he didn't make people wealthy, He did not redeem Israel physically to greatness, He came to save souls and to establish the kingdom of God spiritually.

Jesus was all about the Father's Will, The Father's goals. He did what God wanted Him to do. No more no less.

How can we do any less? How can we not be about the Father's Will? How can we not seek His face and be the perfect son for the perfect Father?

We have turned from God and not to Him, we have put our interests and convenience over His.
We have put a thin veneer of righteousness over the facade of our service, and we have said it is good.
God says it is not of My will and My pleasure, it is not Good.

There was the old saying
God said it. I believe it.That settles it.

God said it, that settles it.
The Bible is the Holy Word of God, perfect and pure. I don't have to believe it for it to be true.
God's Word is true and every man a liar if they say any different.

We must set our face towards the cross. We must will to do of His Good Pleasure.
Only then can we be the light shining in the darkness of this perverse nation.
We must have a backbone and stand for Him in the markets, in the workplace, in the streets, and in the Church. For not all apostasy is outside of the churches of today.

We must stand pure and true in His Word and in His Will that we may be blameless and pure. That we  might stand in the light.
The Son's light reflecting off us that we might show the World His Love, His pureness, His Righteousness. His Mercy. His Judgment.
