heart stopping fear

Have you ever been in a place where you are facing a situation and you are afraid?
Not just that you might fail, but that you might succeed?
A fear where either option just has you paralyzed?
Where stress and worry on either side of the coin is too great for you?

A fear so great and paralyzing that you are physically ill because of it?
I think a lot of us have been there.

We are told in Romans that we do not have to be, yet we are human and given to doubt and fear.

Rom_8:15  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

like so many other times we fail to realize the promises of God because, let's face it, we are human and frail and many times feel that no matter what we do God may just not care about that particular situation.
We look at things in our life through the lens of human power, human worth and human understanding. We do not realize, nor can we, the depth of God's love and grace and mercy towards us.
We have the head knowledge that says He gave us all, yet we use that in the past tense not in the perfect on going tense that we need to see it in.
For God so loved the World, that didn't stop. He still so loves the world.
God so loved the World that He gave His only Begotten Son that Whomsoever shall call upon His name might be saved.
Just like most of us once we have a child we do not stop caring about that child.
We do not stop with just the birth and consider our work done.
Neither does God. He bore our sins on the cross that we might have life, and have it more abundantly.
The birth is only the beginning.
He cares for us in the diaper stage, He cares for us in the toddler, teen, young adults, and the gray hair days.
He is continuous and forever so is His love and concerrn for us.
He is the Alpha and Omega.
We are standing in a microscopic speck of time, He is infinite. He sees the start and the finish and all the twists and turns in between.
We get stuck in our own minds, what iffing ourselves to death.
We get stuck looking at the problems and allowing them to be bigger than they are.
For we have a mighty and awesome God. He has not given us a spirit of fear and indecision.

2Ti_1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

A spirit of power. love and a sound mind. Well many of you may question me on that, and rightfully so but you can not question Him. My mind is fragile and given to doubt and the whispers of unworthiness.
Yes I am ,of my own accord, unworthy. But He is not and He can do all things.
He may not always walk you through a door you see but He will always be there.
Learning His Will is a trial and error process for we can not know His ways.
But we can know Him and keep trying to perfect His Will in us and our lives.

We must not live in fear and give in to the spirit of indecision. For we have won.

Rev_12:10  And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night

Satan accuses us, we accuse ourselves. We are fighting the old nature, we are fighting the accuser of the brethren. We our fighting our own carnality, we are fighting against the gravity of the human world pulling us down as we seek to rise above in the Spirit.

Now is the time to realize that we have won.
We have the victory.
The war is over but the battle still rages.
Within us, without us, The battle rages on.

Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Eph 6:11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Eph 6:13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

God has not given us the spirit of fear or indecision.
He has won the battle for us.
We are victors in Christ.
We are the winners in grace and mercy.
Stop living a defeated life and and claim the victory in Jesus.

I know this is much easier said than done, for I do get down every now and then when I am being attacked on all sides.
I realize not every day will be full of praise and victory unless I praise and worship.
It is a conscious act, if you engage in the victorious behavior no matter what is going on you shall be overcomers.

1Jn_4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Do not let the fear stop you.
Do not let the indecision stop you.
You have an awesome God.
Rest on Him as you slog through this life.
