Act_5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
The high priest asked Peter and the other apostles if they had not been commanded to not preach in the name of Jesus.
They were BEATEN and sent on their way with a gag order put on them by the religious council to speak not of Jesus.
Yet they continued to preach and teach in the name of Christ and rejoiced that they were found worthy of suffering for Christ.
Today we have the same thing going on. We can not speak of Jesus at work, at school, in the public square.
Why not?
Because we might offend someone. We might get a fine. We might get a dirty look.
People are dying and going to hell because we are too polite!
People are lost hope less and searching for answers.
We have those answers but we do not convey our message because it is not PC.
Do we have a soul winning knock on doors ministry? Some do not.
Do we go out into the highways and the by-ways to search for the lost?
Or do we allow the radio, tv, pastors, missionaries do our work for us?
How can those searching for answers find them if they are not fully aware of all the information?
It is not in alcohol, drugs, meditation, medication. The answers are in Christ.
The answer is Christ.
We have allowed the PC police to limit us, we have allowed the world to muzzle us.
We have given in to social convention and have lost not only our testimony but our will to share.
We have let them take God from us.We have willingly given up our rights.
The freedom from religion group is actively pursuing the removal of God.
The Jehovah's witness is out doing their work actively pursuing their false religion and spreading it.
The Islamists are spreading their nonsense actively.
Yet the Christians in America are complacent, lazy and unwilling to step out on a limb to preach the Gospel.
The Good News.
The way the truth and the life.
We have the answers of the One True God. Yet we fail to spread the Word.
The Light of the world has been darkened in the US.
Social convention is a very subtle thing, it has quietly been taking us out of the game.
It has quietly been defeating us simply by making it awkward for us to share the Gospel.
And we have lost the fight.
Not the War but the fight.
An active prayer life, a heart filled with the Spirit. This is how we win.
Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Eph 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
We have 2 commandments in the first verse.
Be not drunk with wine. Simple to do right?
Yet the second part is a Commandment as well be filled with the Spirit.
How do we get filled? Speaking the psalms, singing, praising God, giving thanks.
Be ye separate and come out from among them.
We have so much we can do, yet we do it not.
We are not Spirit-filled, God oriented people anymore.
Social convention has shut us down. It has dictated to us what we can and cannot do.
We have allowed it.
The sin of Omission is large in our lives.
It is our duty to share the Gospel any time we do not we fail, we sin.
WE will give answer one day for the failure to share the Gospel.
We shall see people tossed into the lake of Fire that we failed to witness to. That we walked by and quieted the Spirit telling us to speak.
We are the ones missing our blessing and taking a heavy weight to the judgment seat.
