Last times or end of days

I was reading in the book of 1 Peter and I stumbled across something I had not understood fully before.
Peter who walked and talked with Christ, Peter who was at the Ascension of Christ, who was at the empty tomb. Peter who was in the first person witness of all that Christ did and said, said something profound.

1Pe 1:18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1Pe 1:19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1Pe 1:20  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Read the last part again. Was manifest in these last times for you.
Why with the coming of Christ did we enter into the last times? Why did Peter state that this was the last times?
Because it would never be done or need to be done again. He understood from the moment Christ ascended, Christ could return in the next second, minute, hour, day, week, month, year, decade, century, or millennia.
2Pe_3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

He understood the last days to have begun already.

Act 1:6  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
Act 1:7  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Act 1:8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

It is not for us to know, or to guess or to speculate or extrapolate. It is up to us to do.

There is nothing that must be done or completed before the rapture. it is and has been imminent for years.
This means that we could at any time be translated to heaven in any moment.

I have read some articles, opinions that say there are things like the temple being rebuilt, the six seals opened, etc.

The Gospel is being disseminated to all the world via tv, internet, radio.
Israel has been restored.
The Temple does not have to be fully constructed for the sacrifices to start.
The peace treaty between the anti-christ and Israel will not be made allowing the temple and sacrifices until after the rapture for only then would it be thought necessary.

There is nothing stopping Christ from coming today or 1000 years from now except God.
God will decide, all the rest is mere speculation.

Talks of signs, seasons, timing of events, and wonders are moot.
We have been in the last days since Christ's birth.
We are in the end times.
Stop listening to any who say they know the date and time. They don't, God will give no information to one person and not another. He is no respecter of persons, all are the same level to Him.
A special "Word" from God, new information never before seen, Modern day "prophets". or contemporary "apostles" are all false.

There is no new word just the WORD of God, No special divination just the Bible and the teaching of the Holy Spirit.
There are no apostles other than the ones who walked and talked, and saw Christ in the flesh.
Prophecy age has ended, we are in the age of Grace. There is no need for prophets we have the written Word of God.
Who is the man of sin? stop looking for him we shall not see him, he comes out in full force after the rapture. We will not know his identity until we are translated to heaven in our perfect bodies and perfect minds in the presence of Jesus and the Father. At that point it will not matter to us, we will be past the need to know.
The Temple will be rebuilt after the Rapture. The man of sin, the abomination of desolation all happen after the rapture.

Therefore we need to do nothing more than to testify, to witness until the rapture.
It could be today or tomorrow or not in our lifetime, but come it will.
Peter warns that it will come and for the brethren to remain in their steadfastness of the faith. He warned of the soothsayers and prognosticators who will weaken the message with false dates and times. He warned of this in his day. Here we are 2000 years later still waiting and warning of the same.
Stay true to God, steady in the faith know that the day of His appearing is at hand. However, it is the hand of God that makes it happen not the wishful thinking of man, not a calculated time, nor an algorithm, nor a secret code in the Bible. There is no calendar for it, no alarm clock, no air raid siren, no man can foretell, no season can point the time out.
There is nothing that will tell us in advance.

2Pe 3:14  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2Pe 3:15  And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
2Pe 3:16  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
2Pe 3:17  Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
2Pe 3:18  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
