Mar 8:27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?
Mar 8:28 And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
Mar 8:29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
Peter was given insight by the Holy Spirit into the true nature of Christ.
He knew Christ was/is the Son of God.
God told us who He is.
Moses knew.
Exo 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
Exo 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
David knew who God is.
Psa 23:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Now comes the big question. What say you?
Perhaps one of the greatest things about the bible other than the History, other than the guidebook to life, other than the Truth of the Good News, is the fact that it portrays all the heroes of the faith at they truly were.
The men and women of the Holy Scripture were presented amid all their faults and their imperfections.
They all had their moment when they recognized God and showed faith in their trials and troubles.
They knew who the Lord God Jehovah was.
In this day and age in America we have limited God to our vision of what He is. We have tried to paint Him in our image when in reality we are fearfully and wonderfully made in HIS image.
There are those who portray Him only as a God of Love and compassion, a 1960's Jesus walking around with flowers and smiles and all peace be with you.
There are those who have painted Him as the great benefactor in the sky. Who will bless you regardless of your actions cause by golly you deserve it and expects nothing in return.
There are those who portray Him as the Creator who created this magnificent work of art we call earth, gave it a push and walked away to watch His creation work out their own way.
There are those who believe in a great Spirit watching over us, who wants nothing more than to see good people do good things. Who will judge us on the goodness and merits of our abilities and our charitable acts instead of against His scale of holiness.
Then there are those who look out at creation and say there is no God.
Those who refuse to accept there is a higher authority.
What say you?
God is a God of Love. He gave us a chance for Eternal salvation from death and Hell when we sinned and deserve nothing.
God is a God who wants to bless you, He is a God who wants you to be the best Christ-like creature you can be.
But do you also realize He is the God of Holiness, His purity is the measuring stick?
His Holiness is the goal.
His Righteousness is the Standard?
He is the God of Wrath.
He is the God of Judgment.
He is the Lord God Jehovah. He is over all. He is the pinnacle of our existence, He will judge.
What say you?
Rom 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Rom 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
What you say about God will define your place in the afterlife, it will make your destination clear.
A choice. a simple definition. a thought process is where your future is decided.
What say you?

is He your Lord and Savior? Is He your God?
