The clarion call to service

Are you one of those who feel as if we Christians can do nothing in this world? Cest la vie? God is in control so this must be how He wants it?
Do You think we are outnumbered, outclassed, and overpowered on the devil's home turf?
Do you pray for things in this nation but feel all is lost anyhow despite your prayers?
So many times in the Bible things happened in the time of troubles, in the trials of His children's live
He allowed them to be captured, live in slavery, defeated because of their sin. Their abandonment of Him.

We may very well be in this state today. Yet something caught my attention.
The call of the trumpet.
The call to war.

Many times when they were down and out with nowhere to turn, when they finally realized the error of their ways, God raised a deliverer and that deliverer ,through God, brought them forth.

Generally it started with the prayer of one or 2 people, then it was God bringing them a champion. Then that champion used a trumpet to rally the troops and go into battle.

So many of them in that situation felt hopeless, struggling to survive, dismayed, depressed at what was going on around them, they had given up because they mistakenly thought God had given up on them.
Joshua 6:20
Judges 3:27
Judges 6:34
All of these have the trumpet as a call to service.
What I like to call "a clarion call to service."
Lets not forget THE trumpet blast we all wait for
1 Corinthians 15:52KJV
52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The trumpet is our cue, it is our call to battle.

Yet there is yet another call to heed.
Who is going to blow the trumpet? Where is our trumpeter?
Do you look out for that leader? Are you searching the horizon for someone to step up? That voice to lead?

I submit you need to look inward for the call to be that leader.
Gideon started at home, Joshua started out in the congregation of Israel. Samuel started out in the House of God. Paul was persecuting the very church he later championed. David was in the fields with the sheep, Moses was in the desert.

Leaders come from all backgrounds, all walks of life. Are you the one to step up and sound the call to battle?
Are you the one to lead your home, your city to deliverance?
We are in a battle folks. We are in a war. Against the powers of this world we must stand.
A testimony to Christ and His Salvation.
A light to a wicked and perverse world.
A beacon of love, an example of Christ who died for this world that they through Him might be saved.
There is a God, He hears you. He wants to heal this nation. He wants all to Come to a saving grace.
Are you that leader who will sound the call - "a clarion call" to service?
The Battle looms large, who will lead? Who will stand in the void?
Who will answer the call?
