The Struggles of A Christian - Today.

 I started the Struggles of A Christian because of the things in my life that I was struggling with and what the Christian of the day was struggling against. In fact if you read the first book I published you see tithing, gratitude, negativity as a main subject. Prayer and study as a non existent tool, living the Holy Life, and teaching the younger generations.

Here we are 17 years later and all the Things I spoke of then are now magnified, and we can see the results of what we have not done. We can also see the consequences of what we have done.

What are the struggles of a Christian today? It is no longer prayer and study, it is no longer tithing and negativity.

Today the Christian of Today struggles to even serve, to get out and acknowledge Him. We are embarrassed to talk of Him, you might say not me I prayed at dinner at home. Sure, what do you do in public? At work? In front of the worldly colleagues? Do you talk as they, laugh at the same jokes, use the same perverse language?

If you go out for a meal do you pray? If you go to a store, are you as they, pushing and shoving only worried about you and what you “need” to get?

The Struggles of a Christian today are simple, just living for Him seems to be the struggle. There is a dearth of Christian behavior in this nation today.

Prayer? Doesn’t happen.

Study? Are you kidding?

Holy Life? Well that aint necessary He loves me as I am in all my ways.

We have allowed the hijacking of the Christian name and Christian Life and now a real Christian is an oddity even in God’s House.

We have allowed a false Gospel to pervade this nation a Gospel that says God is Love and you are ok as you are. A false Gospel that allows them to ask why doesn’t God see things my way?

I actually heard that, someone asked why God doesn’t just look through their lens to see things the way they do.

This is the God we have created in this nation. One that they believe is inferior to them, meant to serve them, for their feelings, their emotions are their rulers and God is a Genie who grants them wishes based on their feels.

The problem we have is that most have no idea who God is. Most don’t want to know.

Just as the Israelites, when they saw God descend on the Mount and then heard Him speak they ran 12 miles to get away from Him!

When Moses saw His glory Moses’ face shone as the sun.

When Jesus was transfigured on the mount the Disciples saw Him and wanted to build a tabernacle.

Mar 9:2  And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. 

Mar 9:3  And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. 

His Glory came forth from inside of Him, notice there was no light from the outside that changed Him it was His Glory shining forth.

Then Moses and Elijah appeared and spoke with Him, no light , no Boom it all came from God Himself, Jesus, who allowed them to see Him in all His Glory.

Mar 9:6  For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. 

Peter, James and John were sore afraid. And why? For they saw God in all His Glory, and it was frightening because He is not as us, we are not as He.

In His image does not mean just like Him, just as your kids are in your image but are not a copy or replicate.

Yet, we have taken His Specialness and imputed unto ourselves and for no reason at all. We are not special, in fact humans are probably the worst of Creation.

We have a Secular nation because the church is secular

 

We have a secular nation. One obsessed with sex, with self and with getting what they want when they want it.

This nation is all about do what feels good, you deserve it. Everyone owes you, you are good people. No effort required because it will just fall into your hands.

AND do you know why?

Because that is how the church in America is. It preaches God will accept you and you can stay in your sin and laziness. God loves you and you deserve to be rich healthy and wealthy. God loves you and delights in your sin.

Or the biggest of all God loves you, you don’t need to do a thing for Him after all you are special, He is lucky you even glance His way.

We have a secular nation because we have a secular church, because we have “Christians” who have no idea who Christ is.

God took the time to write a love letter to mankind, Took the time to devise a plan that man might come to Him again even though man sin, rebelled and ran from Him. God took the time to come to this earth, Live, Die, Teach, and put together a team that might pass down these things. He took the time to die, get buried, rise again, and (in the perfected state that we have to look forward to) further instruct His team how to proceed. Then He ascends to the Father but He is not done on earth, for He calls one Paul to be a missionary to further the Gospel, the first missionary is sent out.

And what do we do with all of that? We spend more time denying, finding reasons to twist and pervert the Scriptures. We spend more time looking for ways to get out of believing the “hard” stuff rather than seeing it for what it is – A plan of Salvation.

We treat it as a suggestion. To the Lost world absolutely this Bible is a suggestion, but to you True Child of God this is a life, not a suggestion. It is an order.

You receive Christ accept Him as your Lord, Savior, Master and Redeemer, you have a home in Heaven, you have an escape from the penalty of Sin. You have a pass from death and Hell and what do you think you need to do with that? Well, according to most today, nothing.

And that lie is pervasive in most churches today. That lie that you have no obligation is killing this nation and these churches.

God does not owe you a thing. You owe HIM everything. Yet we tell no one of this blessed Savior, this God who so loved the World. Instead we sit and stink and allow them to go to Hell in Droves.

And I truly believe it is because we do not believe in Hell anymore.

Personal and Individual accountability

 There comes a time when you look out at the beauty of Creation, when you see the immutable laws of Creation, when you see the constants of the seasons, and the sameness of the animals in their routines and rituals. The salmon swim upstream every single year with out fail. The birds migrate every year with out fail. The deer birth in the spring every single year.

There is an order to all the chaos going on in this world. And man in all of his glory and power can affect none of it.

Do you know what that tells me? That man is not the center central point of Creation.

Man is part of it, man is needed for it, but it is before us and will be here after us.

I am going to live and die and the animals, this earth spinning round, the sun the moon and the stars? They do not know me nor even care about my existence.

If Creation, if the universe, if the tree, the alligator, the mountains do not know me or of me or even care of me then what do I matter? What is the point of it all? The timeless (as far as we understand time) earth will carry on after I – we are gone.

So what/who is the point? I believe this is where evolutionists look out and see everything but can not fathom that they do not matter so they have discredited the Creator. How can they see what I see and say nope it is all chance? Happenstance?

If you live and die and are forgotten then what is the point of this earthly existence? If we are nothing, born lived, died and are nothing again then what is the point of this life?

If your purpose is to sustain this earth then that means the earth birthed you. But no Your Body came from 2 people who were living and not a part of the earth at that particular point. So the earth can not give human life it is only when 2 humans - a man and a woman come together that life is so ordered. How did that happen by chance?

The rising and setting of the sun, daily, for thousands of years is happenstance?

No the immutable laws of science speak to someone holding those laws in place.

The Tides in and out every morning and evening, the sun, the moon, the stars, the seasons, the sheer routine of the calendar points to something or Someone holding that order together.

Chaos has never created order, an explosion has never created anything outside of the comic books.

This means someone did Create, set in place and maintains all that happens. For if even one hair of the universe is out of place then it will all unravel. What keeps it in motion? In routine?

It has to be God. There is no other explanation for it.

Then that means God did Create, God did make, and God holds it all together.

Independence Day July 4 2026

 I believe Social Media is the worst invention, just ahead of Television, talk radio and Hollywood.

We are less tolerant than ever before of disagreeing folks. Hate has become the normal for differing viewpoints.

We can no longer associate with those that are not fully on board with our thoughts and agenda.

Today is July 4 2026.

This nation has become deeply divided, and from where I sit it is the deepest divide since the Civil war. Brother fights against brother, daughter disowns mother, father grieves for a son who can no longer talk to him for the differences.

Politics are 24/7 thanks to the things I mentioned at the beginning and it was never meant to be, it was never intended to be such a lightning rod, or even a way of life. Politics when I grew up was once every 4 years for 2 or 3 months and then we moved on and our lives were basically unaffected by it.

What happened? what caused this?

Lack of teaching yet over educating? Parents not showing them it is not a big deal? No longer having a debate club? Not teaching woodworking? Not Giving hobbies or purpose outside of social agendas?

Could be any number of things, but if we do not get away from social media we will never be social again.

Threads, instagram, fb, and the list goes on - is a place for people to tear each other down, and face no consequences for it.

We turn a deaf ear to it, the good and decent people who have a life shut it off. Yet there are those that will holler and yell at every single post, load bots who do the same just to make it look like their point of view is universally believed.

It all goes back to the adage "the squeaking wheel gets the grease", or the "loudest is not always the smartest".

Same thing is happening to the church, there are so many online "experts" "theologians" "Pastors" who truly have no idea what the Bible says, but they have coopted the name of Christian to water down what the Bible says and make it easier to swallow and less consequential.

And just as in politics, the decent purpose filled people turn a deaf ear because we are busy. 

Yet, we have now reached the point that if you talk about these false prophets or question them you are called hateful, bigot, or worse. They will shout you down making it seem as if you are in the minority.

We are at the point where truth is now hate speech.

Today July 4 2026 it is time we stand and let them know that no matter what they do we are free from their bullying, their name calling. Truth is truth and we will not back down.

If we do not stand now we, and America, will fall. Apologists are being attacked, doxxed, and slandered. We the normal decent people would never do that if we disagree with someone so it never occurs to us to dop these things. They do and will continue to do so.

Folks, if we do not make a concerted stand now to stop being silent and speak out against the things that are taking over our nation we will not have a nation we recognize too much longer.

The ones speaking truth are being threatened and terrorized, and we are remaining silent rather than coming to their defense. Speak up and if you are scared then at least just support the ones standing.

The world needs truth, not affirmations.

Joh 8:31  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 

Joh 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 

Sinner's prayer?

 What is the sinners prayer?

Most versions of the prayer focus on four key spiritual steps:

• Admit: Recognizing you are a sinner and fall short.

• Believe: Trusting that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead.

• Confess: Declaring that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.

• Surrender: Inviting Him into your heart and committing to follow Him.

 

Admit Believe Confess Surrender.

Believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Yes that is Scriptural.

Confess with thy mouth. Also Scriptural.

Admitting you are a sinner and unable to save yourself from the impending wrath of God. Scriptural.

Surrender. Here is a problem for many, probably most.

Surrender your life to Christ, He makes your Will, your Schedule, your plans and your Goals. Your overriding desire is to spread His name, Live for Him openly. All you do is in relation to His Kingdom.

There is a problem there for most. Surrender is hard.

Yet the biggest part I have an issue with is the ask Jesus into your heart thing. Too simple, too vague, too over and done with.

We surrender our lives to Him, as we confess He is God and His authority and Word is absolute.

We believe He is the only way that we can get out of the debt we owe due to our sin. What debt? The sin of disobedience, the sin of rebellion and rebelling against a good perfect pure Just God.

For that sin there is death and that death is the second death which is being away from God sent from His presence into outer darkness, where there is gnashing of teeth, flames, and the worm dieth not.

How then do we escape this “death” this casting out? We accept the free gift of God, Jesus died on the cross, for our sins, that we might not have to die.

I say might not have to - for if you believe on the name of Christ, If you call on Him, confess He is Lord, Savior, Master and surrender your life then you accept His gift to you and will not need to pay the ultimate price that He has already paid for you.

We no longer teach this, we teach the easy part but not the surrender part. Christ wants to be Lord and Savior. Not just a part time safety net.

He told me all that ever I did.

 Joh 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

Joh 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

She and her town identify this trait as one that the Messiah would have that He would tell them all things.

She believed in Him. Her own testimony and words prove she thought Jesus was the Messiah and she told the whole town.

Joh 4:39  And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. 
Joh 4:40  So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. 
Joh 4:41  And many more believed because of his own word;

Her words to the town folk were the very words they needed to hear to know that the Messiah had come.
Such a simple thing to overlook but a very powerful one when you consider Jesus portrayed Himself as she was told the Messiah would. She was ready to hear and see Him, Her faith was placed in the coming Messiah and how strong that faith must have been for He did come just as she was told, in the same manner and at a time when she needed Him most.

Perhaps a lesson is in there for us?

So right away what hits you?

Those that deny the existence of a literal Christ, Jesus, can not be called Christian.

Those deny the death burial resurrection can not be called Christians.

Those who say there is no sin can not be called Christians.

I saw a quote the other day. It said “ lukewarm Christianity is so widely practiced that Biblical Christianity seems radical”.

And that is absolutely true.

For Jesus said take up your cross.

Not the bass boat. Not the mountain cabin. Not the resort, but your cross.

We have taken Christianity and made ourselves feel special for we are the chosen ones. Yet in and of ourselves is nothing special, our specialness comes from Him.

You have done none of it yourself.

He came to this earth, lived and died for your sins was buried and rose again the third day. He gave you the Word. He gave you the Bible. He called you to Him. He revealed Himself to you! You didn’t go searching for Him until He revealed Himself to you.

We have so many ‘ex’ Christians, ‘ex’ pastors and ‘ex’ teachers because they never met Him, they met some form of religionist.

Today’s Christian is more and more alike to the religious elite in Jesus day.

They felt they were special for they were sons of Abraham; they were the Tribes of the ones God Himself chose for His people.

Yet they forgot that very God. They served themselves and their “vision” “version” of Him.

Do you know why they never recognized Christ? Because they would never come to this earth and live in poverty, they would never have done what He did for it had no benefit for them. They were only interested in what they got out of life, religion. Leadership and authority.

Christ cared about the things of God and that alone, man can not understand that for man looks to man’s interests and can not fathom that God does not share our interests or our ambitions. He is God, it is all already His.

Mat 10:34  Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 

Mat 10:35  For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 

Mat 10:36  And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. 

Mat 10:37  He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 

Mat 10:38  And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

At what point can that be taken as enrich yourselves, your best life is the goal?

Death comes for all

Ecc 9:1 For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.

Ecc 9:2 All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.

Ecc 9:3 This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

Just as life comes to all, so to does death. There is coming a day when you or I will be forgotten.

What will they remember of us? will they remember us?

Solomon, says rain falls on the just and the unjust. Death comes to all. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom.

That last one is the one you need to study and know.

Death on this earth comes for us all, are you ready for the life that comes after?

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The fear of the Lord is knowledge. Do you know the Lord? The God that died for you? Death comes for all, are you prepared for yours?

THE WRATH OF GOD

I was thinking the other day and I considered these things.

Adam to Abraham was a lawless time, no Law no age of Grace and few sought the God who created them. How do we know few? Because the Lord destroyed the earth for it’s evilness and only Noah and his family was found faithful and worthy.

Moses to Malachi. The Age of the Law, God gave man the parameters that must be met for man to get to where God is and to be Holy as He is Holy. Man never saw it as the measuring tool that it was given for, no they used it as a tool to beat their fellow man into subservience. A tool to proclaim their own righteousness.

Jesus. Brings in the age of Grace allows man to reach the Father due to the Sacrifice of the Son.

The age of Grace where God paid for the sin of man once and for all, God gave man a way to escape the wrath of ….God.

Something man could never do. Man in and of Himself can not escape the wrath of God and that is what this whole thing is about.

So many times we make it so much more and so much less than that.

You must call on the name of the Lord to be saved, from the wrath of God.

If you are not saved, if you do not call on His name then you must face the wrath of God. That is the second death. Departing from Him and being allowed to go where He is not – which is death darkness and Hell.

Man rejected God. God died for man that man might be restored to fellowship with Him.

Now you have a choice, accept the payment of Christ, surrender your life to Him or face the wrath that has been stayed for you to make that choice.
